academy is kinda far from me about a 50 min ride so i never go there, i usually just buy stuff off of amazon cause sports authority is a rip and i havent seen any knives at walmart that i like recently, alot of stuff has been outa stock for months and they dont ever restock it instead they keep getting new stuff that i have 0 interest in, like a winchester large bowie. nty...

The Dozier is a lockback, so the opening action is tighter than, say, a liner or frame lock, because you have to overcome the spring. I've never been able to flick my Dozier open (I have the thumbstud version). With that being said, the action is smooth. So, it's smooth but not quick.

That looks to "mall ninja" to me but, to each his own. Back to the op's question, my personal favourite is the Buck 110, and any of the kershaw value folders.
 
idk i mine as well forget about it now, my bantam blw broke so i dotn rly got nothin to carry and i lost my wallet while i was out earlier and it had my money in it so im flat out and couldnt afford a pack of gun if i wanted it.

im making a list "and checking it twice" and those are all in it right now, i am gonna make a big list, then i guess make a thread on it and see what people pick
 
I really like the Cara Cara 2 personally. I have it in FRN. Most of the kershaw's with 8cr13mov are good too. I have the Asset and the Tremor, love the size and blade shape of the asset, and the tremor is beast for heavier work. Those are g-10 as well and can be had for less than 25 bucks
 
I know the company ( CRKT ) gets dogged quite a bit but I've been impressed by the overall quality and F&F of the CRKT Drifter especially the variation of it with the pseudo Ti handle also the blade steel (8CR13MOV) isn't too shabby either.

Designed by Spyderco and made in China but the F+F on ones I got are pretty good. Pretty good reviews on them as well it seems like
