  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Sub-$300 Katana (2014 edition)

There's height charts available on google. I'm 6'2 so a 30 inch nagasa or blade is more appropriate for me. But I think it's more or less preference. If you're under 5'9 probably a 28 inch blade would work better for you.

I seen the destruction test. Is that the one where he almost lost his genitals? Mine is the post about him looking like Freddie Mercury, HAHA. I have checked out ALOT of reviews and videos. Of all those brands. It is good to hear from someone that has so much experience with Huawei. They have a goofy fake hamon though... On the sub-$300 models anyway...

Ya man, I seen em. I assumed I would just get the "norm" 28". But after watching some of the videos you had linked for me, I have realized that my T-Rex arms might be a hindrance when drawing/sheathing the blade.

I want to check out the Tiger Elite that Kohai likes, but it's on back order. I want to have an awesome kobudo room.

My arms are like tree trunks, that's why I don't want to get a shoddy katana. If I strike something with a bad katana, it'll probably snap and stab me. Like I've said before I've broken all kinds of knifes and axe handles.

I am thinking a 26" blade might fit me better.

In a couple more years I'll have a shrine. lol. When my other toy is done being built it'll add some extra flare.

Have you seen the destruction test on the Huawei 9260 that scottkane was talking about? You should check it out. That's my post at the top.
