Sub-$300 Katana (2014 edition)

So... 5'6", short lil stubby arms... You think the 28"ers should be fine? Man, I would REALLY like to handle a few.
 
I think you'd be fine with a 28". It might even be perfect for you. A 28" blade when you handle it, you'll realize it's not so big.
 
You'd probably love the hanwei Shinto, it handles like a gem and is really light weight. But you'd have to spend more. But I think any of the Ronin models are a safe bet.
 
All my boys are refrigerator-size. You don't really realize it till you see a group photo. HAHA. I also grew up with 2 step brothers that are both 6'+ and 230+, basically twice my size.
 
My dad is 6'6 and so are my uncles and cousins. I'm a runt. I wouldn't want to be that big anyways, my dad can hardly fit into cars or go through a doorway without smashing his skull lol.
 
I tested one of my bokken yesterday against a small tree branch. One swing and it snapped, glad I didn't practice sai against it.
