I like it Lin. Nice flow, fit and finish is outstanding. It looks light and balanced too.

I've been looking forward to this one - I think it turned out great. Can't wait to get my mits on it. It looks like it would feel great in hand.

Nice job Lin.

Looks like a very clean, controlable piece...
I like it...

Lin,

That's everything you could ask for in a sub-hilt. Looking forward to seeing it first hand. Beautiful!

Gary

Thank you guys. The blade is 9 3/4 inch with an OAL of 15 inches. The blade is some of Don's W2. Really good stuff. I clay quenched it in Parks 50 , which I am getting to appreciate, even though it is so pricey. It has a slight recurve to the edge and a nice hamon when at the right angle of light. The fittings are 416 Stainless and the wood is Ironwood. Yes, it feels good in the hand. Lin

First thing I see is the beautiful contrast between the steel and the desert ironwood. Then I started looking at the shapes. Very nice

hey Lin, what do you mean by ABS style?

Lin,

This one's a beauty; I'm not usually a sub-hilt kinda guy, but the two of your's I've seen pics of are both really fine.

Lorien,
The ABS teaches methods that somewhat recognizable look. I might be speaking out of turn when I say ABS style, but that's the way I see it. It's a flatgound forged blade made on the pattern of a Fighter/Bowie with the addition of a subhilt. This in no way deminishes my appreciation of loveless style knives though. Let's call it an interpretation. Lin

I'm not a sub-hilt kinda guy either, but whether I am or not, that's an great knife.

Looking forward to seeing it in a couple weeks.
