Thanks for the offer, though I already put in my order for a piece of 1084 and D2. Handles I intend to avoid for a few more years. Kydex sheathes I might get into first. I was told sawing D2 with a hacksaw would be a chore, but now I figure the drill press comes into play as drilling a series of holes should speed up the work for either thick stock or wear resistant steels.I'll be happy to send you a piece of Aldo's 1084 and a block of stabilized wood to get you started.
