& Such?

When a rifle is worth more than my house, yea, I'd hesitate handling it as well! Holy Cow!!

And there I thought a Quigley Sharps was a grail for me, heh. Kind of makes it look inexpensive now. :D

I have a fired a Sharps extensively in .45-70 It too is one of grails. I will have someday.

Ken I read that story too. That guy had a four bore. Even bigger than a .700 but not as high intensity. He switched to a smaller gun when his four bore malfunctioned and both barrels went off at the same time. Literally dislocated his shoulder. In the story I read he was getting ready to quit the four bore anyways as it was bad on the "nerves" causing a flinch.

I get " nerves" when I'm sighting in my 7 mm Mag from the bench , its funny though I never feel the kick when I'm triggering a shot at game , just paper targets .
Most of the time now I just put the . 223 barrel in the rifle because Wild Dogs are the enemy and any K9 inside 250 yards is in serious trouble . The big banger 7mm barrel is for my annual Deer and Tahr hunt in NewZealand .

Ken

Once upon a time I had a 7mm Mag, yep, its ferocious. I dont miss that one all that much, that and the ammo prices were high back then.

As such i have made several things ,sometimes simple sometimes not

That jacket is seriously sick! Did you work off a pattern for fitting? Tailoring experience? My kids always ask me to make them jackets (especially my daughter Phoenix) but I'm like kiddos you are waaaay overestimating my experience and skill. I also don't stock chrome tanned. They just see leather and think it's all the same.

I'd really like to hear about your process for making it. Might come in handy once I've purchased a sewing machine.

What is the item in the bottom photo?

the bottum photo is a wristband,
For the jackets i ve made several patterns, on the foto i used a pattern for a bikerjacket, the coulours would fit between the schoulder and the hippart
The eagle i edited from a photo, drew it on the leather,(the leather is a sandwich of 2 layers leather ,1 cm polyether and cloth, after sewing i cut the parts out within the lines .
And the belt is made without sewing or rivets.

Hmm... I have a couple of leather jackets. I wouldn't mind sacrificing one. It was really expensive (for me) but doesn't fit right. Wonder how hard it would be. Thanks again for posting those. I may really have to give it a shot. I like very fitted attire and homemade might be just the ticket given my skinny tall body. :)

haha, you can send me a few pics and let me see...

Wow cool work on the vest! Obviously not your first rodeo. Pretty darn ingenious on the belt. At first I didn't like it and then the more I studied the two shots the more I liked it.

@omega
It is filled with silicone sealant and was not meant as a weapon, it is a belt to keep my trousers up.
The buckle is from a parachuteharnass.
But if you want to use it like that, it will deliver the message.
I'll post u some pics of a weapon next week

I love the spine look that the silicone gives in that belt. Very unique.

Oh okay, I figured they were bearings (too heavy I reckon) or marbles, dome rivets, or something along those lines. Silicone? I'd never have guessed that. Still can't quite figure out how you did it, but that is one of the things I love about all this. I've read that man couldn't engineer a material like leather, I guess for now that's true.

Looking forward to whatever else you've whipped up. :)

BTW, I've seen plenty of belts with car seat belt buckles (love the look, I'll take mine with the Ford logo), but I've never seen a 'chute buckle. Just adds to the coolness factor.

Hadn't made one of these in a while. Forged one out for a guy in Quebec the other day. Holds your wildrag on instead of tying a knot.

Just scrap left over from making my knives.

Omega: here's my suggestions: wallets, purses I think someone must have mentioned both.

iPhone cases & holsters.

Book covers

Custom fit sandals

Ya know Ken I don't know. Have never weighed one. Not too heavy as I like to grind the damascus pretty thin before I start forging it around the mandrell.

Dave, are those WR's similar to a scarf in cut?

Thanks Al, I really like the idea of sandals. Doing cobbler work is something I'm really interested in, that sounds like a good introduction.
