suggestions: 3" or sub, lightweight folder

Mini-Socoms have an advertised blade length of 3.19", the UDTs are 2.75". Started to buy a mini, but didn't like the handles. Great looking knives, though.

I own and love MANY BM products. I have owned and SOLD my 705BT due to its rather diminutive size. I instead prefer to carry a slightly wider, not necessarily longer, blade in the Mel Pardue 350SBT. I find I need serrations at work more then I don't, and I like the corrosions resistance of the BT coating, although I would get it in satin finish, if I even have to buy another one.

The BM 350 can be had for about $50 all over the place, and I will stand by it in saying that though this knife is thin, light, and made of Zytel and ATS34, it will DEF hold its own in ANY enviorment!!! I have been camping, and have had to give up my fixed blade to my buddy, leaving me with only my SAK, and my 350, 15 miles in the woods! This little S.O.B. did it all, AND well! All it needed when I got home was a good washing and heavy sharpening, and a few spritzes of Lithium Grease/Soap, and it was ready for action!!!

Give this puppy a try, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

I also think BM350 are a good and over looked. Another one you should take a look at is Boye Dendritic Cobalt or Boye Dendritic Steel...nice and lightweight.

G10 Benchmade 855. Light, small and not a dangerous looking knife. Perfect. Or how about a Gerber EZ-Out Juniour, ok forget that one!

Go with the CS Voyager. I've been carrying one, every day, for years. Light weight, reasonable strong, very sharp and inexpensive. Seems to me that's a pretty nice combination of attributes.

You might want to check out a benchmade mini-stryker. It covers most of your reqs, less than 3", light and a tanto point.

hey guys
i would have to say that the knife that best fits this is the BM330 limited for that month of december. has a clip and has a blade of just over 2".
