The tactical-flavored responses were amusing considering the original requirements.

I'm glad to have learned of Christof's knives via this thread -- I dig the aesthetic a lot.

tactical is a funny thing. I cant always pin down the definition. in mdeium sized fixed blade knives it seems to often mean overly thick steel, a choil, and nice sharp corners anywhere you want to put your hand :D

How about a Blackjack Trail Guide?

Choice of handle materials include black Micarta, antique ivory Micarta, stag, stag carver and stacked leather.

The one above is a Knifeware version with convexed, cryo-treated 1095 carbon steel blade. Older Effingham versions are convexed A2 tool steel, as are the latest versions (I don't know if the newest Trail Guides are out yet).

Stay sharp,

That looks solid and authentic:thumbup::thumbup:

I'm a big fan of the blackjack trailguide, leather washer handle. Out of all my knives over the years it's my go to knife. Loosearrow

looks like you ended up with a great knife. Christof does some great work, and he is always really fast. i own one now( a bushcrafter), and i got 2 in progress(a chopper and a psk knife).
