Recommendation? Suggestions for an overbuilt folder that feels powerful in hand?

You could also check out CRK Umnumzaan. I think it meets everything you're looking for without a lot of the "overbuilt" stigma. I really don't like "overbuilt" knives, but this is an awesome knife that could be considered into that category if you wish. It's also pretty good at cutting stuff if that's one of the things that you consider when buying a knife.
 
How about a ZT 0909, chunky, well built, on the larger side, has good ergos, isn't so overbuilt that it doesn't knife well like some you may have been considering.
 
Your Medford AD-10 is a good knife. My favorite hard-use knife would be a Strider SMF. It has a blade-thickness of 0.190" and it has a great rep for heavy-duty.
