I ended up going with the QSP Parrot, again I didn't want to over do it and just wanted an upgrade from the piece of junk she has now. as for the knife I'm actually extremely impressed with the quality of it for the price! and it will absolutely do what she needs it to. the only nitpick I have is that the liner lock could be a touch thicker.
