Summer of the slip joints

The bucket-list has long had owning a DHIII slip joint on it. I'm running out of time, and ran out of money long ago (when I started making knives)

Great work Don.............. Someday I hope to own one..............

So many at once! Fantastic! Love the last damascus and ivory, but you knew that would be the one that got me didn't you Don?

Thanks much folks! These are a lot of work, but fun...

Squirrel shucher in action soon, Mike...:D

Rob, I am not surprised. Gotta have some 'bling'... So many posted at once, took all summer to make em. :)

Though seemingly from the opposite ends of the spectrum, both outstanding.

Very nice Don, look forward to seeing more from you all winter......:D:thumbup:

All great stuff, Don, but I'll give some love to the slender brown jigged bone clip.

The heat and dry weather has made it rough here in the Midwest this year. But, I love what it has inspired down at Steam Mill Hollow. Sunfish Forge has turned into a mini-slipjoint factory! :D

Awesome work, Don!

Beautiful work as aways. I've been watching for your posts, glad to see your still around. This summer was a killer when it came to forge work thats for sure.

Bill, it'll take a little more than heat to run me off, was brutal though. It did keep me in the shop, with the AC cranking and focused on slip joints. So not a bad thing. :D

Nice to have a work around that'll keep the babies in shoes... ;)

Don, you've been busy! Very nice work. I can understand about not forging much recently;). You still had some time turning a 2" round into a folder blade though.

If you get to Branson for the hammer-in this month bring some of these beauties along. I'd love to see them first hand.

Dawkind, it helps to be able to move fast and adapt. :)

Gary, I already had some W2 forged down, but I did run out. Got out to the forge early one morning and had 6 feet of W2 forged into usable folder stock pretty quick. I should have had Joe (canineforge) come out and do the forging.

Jeff, the bone slimline is a personal favorite. Had a little trouble turning lose of that one.

Todd, will make more, but winter is 'big damascus blade' time.

Guys, I do appreciate every one of you for taking a look and posting.
