Summer snark !

we got 5-6 total I think -- hard to tell because of the early drifting.

It was 0 at midnight, 4, and 5am, currently -3 and dropping fast. Supposed to bottom out at -9 around 8am

We're supposed to temps in the 20's for the next week. Compared to the -20f to 10f we've seen on the daily the last week and a half, it's going to feel like spring is on the way.

The title of this thread sure is ironic this morning!

-3 at 07:20 when I got up (supposedly -4 or -5 overnight). The boiler hasn't been keeping up, but I tuned the parameters, tightened an upstairs air leak, and it was 63 this morning downstairs at the thermostat with a setpoint of 68. Much better than last weekend's 57!! 😬

After the big dump, the plow berm was 20" deep at its shallow peak and 3ft wide.
The pile next to the parking spaces was 50"+ when I was done. The parking lots at work are impressive.
I hope I only sprained my knee shoveling.

My table's gonna be pretty thin at the knife show in 5 weeks, what with all the medical, caregiving, weather, and work surprises since October, but if anybody's nearby, c'mon and say hi in Mystic, CT. at the ncca.info show in March.

For some reason tax time is also when I go through the stuff like carry bags , first aid supplies , chargers and cords etc FAK got restocked last summer when I had back surgery so it is good.
This weeks project was chargers, cables and power banks. My sweet wife for some reason goes through chargers and cables at the rate of 4 times more than I do. I have a shoe box that I keep this stuff in did an inventory last weekend . And made an order. Amazon has Amazon basics wall chargers 2 chargers and 2 six foot cables for $6-9 depending on sales and colors
I ordered 2 sets
Ordered set of 3 ten foot cables
My wife wanted a power bank ordered her a 50,000 mah power bank and one of mine small ones is getting old and doesn’t fast charge , so they have 2 , 10,00 mah ones for $14 so I grabbed a set. I use this set in my carry bags so I grabbed an extra
So I should be good for a while

Well, we officially beat the Blizzard of '78 for snow up in Providence.
I dug through 2-3ft making a bunch of paths to 3 houses and digging out the feral kitties' hidey hole.
This is just silly. Happily I still have power. Fingers crossed that it stays on.

I remember the Jan 2, 96 storm in se penn and Maryland - 26" in 24 hours in Baltimore.

Damn it smells good in here. I am drying beans in the dehydrator for snacks to replace stuff with carbs, sugar etc. I have the dehydrator on a wire shelf in the bedroom so I don’t clutter up the kitchen counters sea salt and ancho chili powder for seasoning . I have been a week and a half without Pepsi and have only eaten bread once . Trying to get my blood sugar under control. I Have dried black beans before and they are a good snack right now I have white navy beans and black beans dried and have chickpeas, red beans and green beans in the dehydrator . Once I have everything dried I will pick the best 2-3 for snacks
