What's your favorite summertime hat?

I prefer a khaki boonie.

either none or a bandana...not really a hat though. i like to wet it on hot days, to help cool me off.

ballcap, or a bandanna for me. I also have a boonie desert hat from when I was in the army I wear floating...

I usually wear a boonie. They don't breathe very well though, but keep the sun off my head and neck and they feel good after soaking in water.

I'm planning on picking up a western-style straw hat for the summer whether its in the outdoors or around town.

I wear a straw Wrangler cowboy hat until it's about 5 below. Then I switch to a toque until around 15-20 below, and then I go to a rabbit fur bomber. I love that bomber hat, it's probably the single most Canadian thing I own! Well, aside from my maple syrup stockpile (that's not a joke.)

While I do have a non-brand, nylon, khaki (light brown? beige?) wide-brimmed boonie-style hat, I tend to only wear it when I know I'm in for extended time in the sun. Otherwise, it's one of many ball caps. The boonie-style hat is great for shading the neck--I can feel the cooling effect as my sweat evaporates.
