Long story short, I need some new shades, and if anybody knows what quality is, it's you all here on this forum. I apologize if this is out of place, and mods please feel free to remove it if necessary. But I'd really like some advice on a nice pair of sunglasses. Thanks!

Sunglasses, watches and knives basic sum up what all my paychecks go towards!

As far as sunglasses go I had a falling out with Ray-Ban... only thing I wear now is D&G. Great glasses, pretty pricey though.

Best sunglasses bar none are MAUI JIM. You can not buy better lenses. Their fairly new Pilot glasses in brown lenses are even better then their products from a couple of years ago. It is a compony which does glasses only.
Go try them on and walk outside and look at the sky, greenery or anything else for that matter and see what you think.
D&G is a compony which uses regular lenses and pays for using the name to Dolche and Gabbana, two Italian Designers of mostly gay looking clothing. It is owned by a huge conglomorate which bought up a lot of designer names.

Oliver peoples for lifestyle and oakley for sport glasses for me. Also, go polarized unless your reading equipment that is also polarized. Polarized is significantly better than standard.

Ray Ban make great shades so do Maui Jim.

The rest look like they belong on Paris Hilton :D:D:D

Randolph Engineering. Made in USA. Really tough. Not too spendy. By far the best sunglasses I've ever owned including Maui Jim, ray ban, about 6 pairs of high end oaklys, etc. paid the extra for polarized. $180. Could not love them more.

Maui Jim. Hands down best optics out there. I've had people try mine on and ask if they're prescription...nope, just THAT clear :D

No contest, Maui Jims. Any Optometrist will tell you that. Also, Costa Del Mar's customer service sucks but their 580 lens are great. With that being said, Mauis lens are amazing.

I have five pairs of Maui Jim's but I always find myself wearing my Kaenon Hard Kores. They are great on the slopes in the winter and the golf course in the summer. Actually I was wearing them today and thought I would share a quick EDC photo. Sorry for the quality, I just shot it with my iPhone.

I also own Revo, Smith, Ray-Ban, Arnette, Bolle, Oakley, Spy, SunCloud. Native and a few others. Just typing this I realize I have another problem besides CRK Knives. Anyways, I would rate Maui Jim and Kaenon as #1 and #1A. Imo, Oakley is close to the bottom.

+1 on Maui Jim... You can not beat the customer service of Maui Jim's... oh and their sunglasses aren't half bad either! :)~

Just thought that I would add that the majority of my sunglasses are polarized; definitely the way to go imo. Just looked up Randolph Engineering and must admit that I have never owned a pair but very intriguing.

I wear Oakleys pretty much all the time, I have been enjoyong the coolness and confusion that photocromic lenses provide of late on my Flak Jackets. People seem to have a hard time getting over the fact that they change colour. :p:thumbup:

WTF, I replied to this thread and it's not here...

I wear Keanons. Italian made with the best optical quality I've ever seen. Spendy though.
