Sunglasses Recommendation from you guys

Thanks BBQ BOY! On a side note, I checked out Keanon and Randolph Engeneering. Both are
companies I had never heard of before, but am THROUGHLY impressesd by both. I may be thinking outside of the box on this one. By the way, have I told you guys how I much I appreciate you all giving me your advice!

i wear the poly maui jims since they are impact resistant...glass has better optics though...i figure safety (from airbags) is a better trade off for me since i mostly wear them driving.

I've owned thousands of dollars of sunglasses in the past 5-6 years. Costa pissed me off with their customer service (lenses scratched in sandstorm and they wanted me to CALL to talk to their repair guy; I was in Afghanistan.) I've sold or given away, Bolle, Costa, Revo, Oakley, Ray-Ban, Native, etc...

I have my Maui Jims (even wore them last year in the sandbox with no issues), a pair of Keanons I use for driving, and one set of issue Oakleys I have to keep handy.

Maui Jims are great just like all these guys are saying. Consider Naitives for sports. Good price and great quality, I have Jim's and Native and Jim's are my going out glasses and Natives are my running, hiking, rowing, fishing, etc pair. I assume you do these types of things if you are asking here.

I hear you guys when it comes to Maui's, and if I had to order a pair right now that's what I'd order; but have you researched Kaenon's as some have mentioned? They look pretty sweet... That lens material looks unreal

I've owned MJ's before, and I can honestly say that their optical quality doesn't compare to the SR91 lenses in Keanons. They're just clearer, period.

I love my Maui Jim Typhoons - and my wife has two pairs of Maui Jim's - great shades!

Persol is what I mostly wear. They have a classic look and are of good quality, they are also italian.

My wife has glass polarized Maui Jims (she loves them) , I have glass polarized Costas . I can tell a big difference between the two , hers are much better. Those Randolph's are cool .......thanks for the heads up.

glass, and sporty maui jims. i absolutely loved the sporty ones, but they went MIA after a car accident. Never heard of the other 2 brands mentioned, but definitely going to check it out now. I didn't think there'd be so many maui jim votes :p

I shouldn't have looked at this thread! I've not heard of a number of companies mentionned, but am gonna check them out. How do the Maui Jimsand Randaolphs fit, as I've had read problems finding sunglasses to fit? For example, I've purchased of number of Oakleys(Flakjacket/Straightjacket and others) only to move them on due to being too loose at the temples. Couple that with doing lots of outdoor activies from running to paddling and moutainbiking, I've always went for less pricey options like Smiths.

I've got a pair of Wiley x Lanterns with polarized lenses. I like them a lot. I think they also make the 511 sunglasses.

Randolphs all have multiple size options for each pair. I have a giant noggin and mine fit me like a glove.

Well, after 2 tanks of gas, 4 towns, and 10 billion try-ons (Costa's, MJ's, Revo, and RB) here's where I landed. I'm stoked to say the least. These are as sharp and clear as everything I tried all, including the Maui Jim's! I highly recommend everyone looking these guys up.
