Super Commander's are here

i'm pretty sure that E.E. is a very shrewed businessman/person:barf: (i hate politically correctness), and that if *we* (no mouse in my pocket) , or some of us, at least, can think of it/something now, then double E and crew have thought it (thunked it?) a long time ago. He probably has so many designs/ideas for knives that he would , again, probably have to devote many years to just producing the new models. and do i ever wish He would!
dontcha thank so? my 2 rubles, or so.
nighty-night all.

i hope the SC goes into reg production, the pre pro's are good for collecting only imho, i would LOVE a user though............

i'm hoping after they sell outta the pre pro's they will start reg production

Great review Seth, and pretty much right on re my take too. The difference in the tip profile IS different, and obviously more conduscive to penetration.

QUESTION 'THO: If the green-handled version is limited to 50, why the heck is my knife numbered 071??

AL

Al,
Emerson saved the first 25 numbers of each version for future use. The green numbers go from 26 to 75.

Okay.....I see, and thanks E__WOK. Jeez...I just got in there I guess AT 071, yeah? No matter. Really cool big Emo folder. Those big customs must really be sweet....

Al, I tried to order number 71 and it was already taken. You lucky dog! Thats the year I was born. Oh well, we will see what number I get in the mail today :D

200 total TADGear Super Commanders:

150 of the black scales/black-T blade varients. 50 of the green scales/HC plain edge. I'm uncertain of the Black-T serrated numbers --either 25 or 50.

Just got my SC today!! IIIII like it!! It's a handeful. Sorry I can't post pictures or I would.
TAD didn't include the shoulder rig as stated on the webste. What's up with that? Anybody else have this problem before I give'm a call?

I didn't get one either, but TAD did send a "Super Commander Carry Bag Coupon", stating the bags "were not quite ready", but would be shipped as soon as they are completed.

It has my knife number handwritten in, and a blank space for "owner's name". Whether or not this means I have to sign the coupon and send it in, or the rig will be sent automatically, I don't know.

Kwaiken56,
Yea, I got one of those also (coupons), and just like you am confused. I e-mailed them, so I'll pass on the info when I get it. If you hear something first, let me know. Inquiring mines want to know ;)
Great piece, aye!! Like your name (Kwaiken). I have one of those on order through RJ Martin via Les Robertson. Can't wait to get that one!!
Thanks for the post, I feel a little more at ease knowing I'm not the only one. What # is yours? Mine's #65, Robert

There was a change in manufacturer of the carry bags and they are back ordered.

The shoulder rig delivery was delayed also.

I guess the Super Commanders arrived before anyone expected them.

TAD site said 150 Black Bladed / Black handled (25 of those are serrated blades) and 50 Satin / Green handled

Thanks for the info BRP, and Ji, be damn careful handling those RJ Martins..... I have 3. Randy crafts these WAY SHARP.

AL

Kwaiken56, YEP!!, I have a RJ Wasabi right now. Scary sharp. I know this is an Emerson forum, but I had to mention it. :D
BTW: TAD just got back with me and they repeated what BRP said. They didn't mention whether to send in the coupon or just hold onto it, but when they tell me, I'll post it (My guess from the way the e-mail was writen is to just hold onto the coupon:rolleyes: )
