I am also stronger in my arms and I’m not dragging my left leg when I walk now. We also had to let the handles down lower on my rollator because I don’t have to walk all bent over anymore unless I am overly tired, which doesn’t take much right now!

Dr. Gaede fused my neck and then installed a titanium plate with screws from level C-2 through C-7 and it was worse than even he expected! :eek: On the C-4 level I had bone spurs growing into my spinal cord! :eek: He removed the C-4 vertebrate, cleaned it up and put part of it back as it’s always best to use your very own parts and pieces whenever possible.
Right now my throat is sorer than I ever thought possible and I kinda had to learn how to swallow again without choking, also found out this morning it’s gonna be a while before I can eat my oatmeal for breakfast again.
I had to have scrambled eggs like I did in the hospital but this will pass with a lot less time than it takes for my feeling to all come back, if it does that is, but I can learn to live with the way my fingers and hands are right now if I have to.:thumbup: There's more but this is the important part, really glad to be back among my friends once again and thanks all for all the very kind words! :D

As y'all can see I made it through in good shape and am getting stronger day by day!!!!:thumbup:
Actually at around 4:30 today, Wed 22nd 2007, I will be out of surgery a whole 7 days. I go tomorrow to get my 21 staples removed!!!!
Barbie is gonna take a pic of the surgery site today, anyone wanna see before and after pics?:eek: ;) :D
