Surprise ZT 0804CF goodness!!!

Awesome cockpit shots -

Stabman in hardcover is out for delivery today by the way. This is the kind of knife he would have carried, stealthy.

The hardcover version is the classier choice for sure. :)
Gives the diary feel more effectively, due to overall dimensions and the hard covers themselves.
Enjoy!

Always look forward to your posts Stabby!!
What a fantastic looking knife and a great show of generosity on both your parts my friend!
Really enjoyed this thread!
Beat the snot out of it......to show it how much you love it!
Lot of exclamation marks, but I couldn't help myself.

I definitely plan to get out and use it.
Exclamation marks are okay! :D

ZT is churning out some impressively engineered, high quality production knives. In some respects, they are in a league of their own. The one I received from KnifeCenter:

If you're attacked by a flock of ferocious Canadian Geese, simply show them your ZT 0804CF and they'll flee:

Whew, that was close. :D

It also looks good with art...

I also secured a position for at least part of the summer as a research assistant today, so the ZT 0804CF obviously gets you a job as well.

Haha. Great pics. I've had some water fowl come squawking at me before for getting to close. I didn't have a 0804CF then, otherwise they may have kept their distance. Haven't seen a public pay phone in quite some time. And congrats on the job!

I've been carrying my 0804CF for the past week as well, and I'm liking it quite a lot. The CF offerings in the ZT 2016 lineup are pretty fantastic.

Glad you survived the bird rage. :D

Public phones are getting more rare these days...almost as rare as jobs in this city. To have found both on the same day was really something else. ;)

The carbon fiber ZT is using does have a very nice look to it.

Well, you guys convinced me. Just ordered one! I can't wait to get it, as it will be my first ZT, flipper, and carbon fiber knife.

I think you'll like it. :)
I'm taking mine to the woods tomorrow; should be a good day.

The 0804CF is an excellent knife. The long handle is very comfortable and feels great if you have bigger hands. For such a large knife it's pretty light weight.

I do wish that Kai included some kind of pocket clip filler tab (ie. Hinderer style), but it seems likely that someone will make one given all the other third-party parts that have been made for other zt knives. It just looks like something is missing when I look at the groove where the pocket clip goes.

Nice score Stabby. Haters always have to find something to complain about. In any case, congrats on the 2nd book, a cool show, and the awesome knife. I'm making due with the 0909 and I love that one too. I will own the 0804 though, seems perfect for me.

Thomas is a good guy. Really nice knife. I usually don't like coated blades but it just seems to work in this case. Enjoy it!

I agree, he is a good guy. That specific ZT is on my list to buy, unfortunately discretionary funds have been pretty tight lately. I don't mind the coated blades, they actually work to my advantage. When at the office, the coated blades are a little bit harder to see and people tend not to flip out as much as they would when they see a "gleaming machete waved around". Go figure, I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about and can relate pretty well.

But of course, some folks will wonder if it's tough enough for their hard-core lifestyle.
Well, I'll let the picture do the talking:

That muffin never stood a chance. :D

Priceless. :D

Nice knife... congrats!

Got my 0804CF today. Wow is this thing gorgeous! And sharp! I think I'm going to have a callous on my pointer finger from flipping this thing so much.

Yep. :D

It sure is sharp too; no worries about not being able to cut anything you need to.

I'm excited to see how CTS-204P compares to the steels I currently have, which include 154CM, M2, S30V, D2, S110V, VG-10, and a few others.

This knife is a beast! I started getting worried about that aspect after reading of people thinking it wasn't for hard use. But this knife feels extremely sturdy, no play at all and perfect lock up.
