Its a self portrait! :p:D

Thanks all. I'm just finishing up a simple display stand for this thing. When my better half returns home with the nice camera I'll get some better shots of the whole deal and post 'um up.

btw - I had honed the blade's edge just prior to making the stand........ now I'm bleeding nicely! :o

Thanks guys. :foot: :(

To add to my previous post(s).... :(

I really like the way the entire knife and sheath COMBINATION is put together.

I have 5 knives forged and each one will be getting copper details so I always appreciate seeing what other guys come up with when using copper.

You guys kill me. :D

I'd say more, but figure I'll get in trouble again.

Brian Thank you!!

I've been on a bit of a copper kick recently. I spend a lot of time at the junk yard looking for forgable pieces or thick wire. The guys there know what I'm looking for. I once found two, 60 lb halves of a boat propeller shaft. Solid copper! I bought 1/2 of one half for $2.00/lb. and it'll embellish many knives to come.

Sweet. I'm a plumber. So my love of copper comes naturally I guess.
The good thing is I get lots if free scrap.
I just got 80 or so old fuses with Cooper blades ranging from 3/16"x1-1/4"x2" to 1/4"x2"2". Mokume anyone?
I'm actually planning on some copper/wrought guards and copper bolsters too.

What temp do you forge your copper at?

Have you done much carving before?
