Are we still going ahead with the survival contest? Just wanted to know because I finaly found some land that I could do it on. So Jeff what re your thoughts?
 
Don't quote me but I believe it was called off due to the possibility of legal issues or something. Sorry, my memory sucks.
 
It was cancelled. However, I am taking my 10 year old daughter out for a survival weekend coming up soon. Hopefully we'll have some pics.
 
There's no reason the members can't hold a survival contest, so long as it's made clear it's not endorsed or affiliated with RAT Cutlery.
 
Yea, it can still happen, just not with RAT sponsoring it.

I'm pretty sure I can come up with some sweet prizes for the winner.

Just take good pics and keep a well documented journal as Jeff would still be interested in your thoughts for an upcoming article he'll be writing.
 
I'm packing a 1000 Otterbox instead of an Altoids Tin. My eldest daughter is going to be the photographer
 
Modest. Lol. No really go read the thread! I had to take anxiety meds in the middle of the night to calm down!
 
I'm still planning on doing an overnight lost situation with my regular EDC. Just waiting for it to rain so it's extra fun!

No, you might not like it but I think you could do it if you had to and that's all that matters. There ain't a thing out there that you can't kill in the dark. It's just as dark to them as it is to you. Well, unless they have night vision goggles or something...but you get the idea. :D
