Survival contest

If I brought the mr that would break the 'rules'. We couldn't leave or kids for that many nights either.

Besides if you've never experienced anxiety you don't realize how debilitating it is! On our last trip I was SO frraked out I wouldn't stand up IN MY TENT to use a little portable toilet that was also in my tent! The mr mentioned getting my bag I had left near the campfire and I lost my mind bc it meant it had to leave my side. Once he did get the bag and I took my medicine I was totally fine but for that hour or so it was horrible.
 
I'm on my phone so I can't copy and paste from the original thread. As I remember it is:

Go alone
1 knife
Whatever you can fit in an altoids tin is ok. Anything more doesn't go.
2 full nights 3 full days.
Notebook, pen and a camera. Extra batteries are ok and a cell phone is ok but only use it for emergencies.
 
I am heading out this weekend. Lots of photos and a journal to follow.
1blade, Rat rc-3 that tuarn sent me in the mail on loan!
1altoids tin packed
3d-2nights alone.
 
Aww! C'mon Mrs. S, I've heard stories about Bigfeet (or would that be Bigfoots?) helping people lost out in the woods around here. Or would that be considered cheating?

Richard that would be cheatiing! No, really. I'm not doing it. I'll leave these prizes for ya'll to have. Besides the mr is a judge. Wouldn't want to create an issue there again.

the ones up here seem a little less benevolent. at least from what i've heard.:eek:
 
I won't be able to try this but I'd love to see pics of just how much gear you can fit in your Altoids/Otterboxes though.

Anyone trying this, please show us what your taking.

Do they have buck teeth and crossed eyes too? no wonder they're not nice, they're tired of being laughed at by all the other animals. :D

I might try this contest. Is there a deadline that it has to be done by? I can't get away from work long enough for a while.

I think org. the contest was over by the end of this month.
But contest or no contest i say get out there and follow through with the exercise, this will better you. You will be more capable more sure of your abiltys all the while still remaining within control over your situation.
 
there never was a real end time that i know about. But if you guys want I say the deadline is August 04. After that we can lock the tread
 
I just got back from spending several hours in the woods with only a knife. I survived!
