Curious to know what the folks who frequent the W&S forum carry daily.
What I mean by that is what's on your person - no dedicated packs included, just what you may carry on your immediate person almost 24/7 (Of course barring sleeping)

What got me kind of thinking along these lines, is I try to carry some basic stuff with me in the Spring/Summer months, but in the Fall/Winter, with my coat, I can carry a few more things comfortably.

Here's what I try to have daily on my immediate person - year round:

1 - Large Classic Seb
2 - Survival Capsule which includes Mag bar, Tinder quick tab, Compass, couple of diffent kinds of heavy duty Thread/needles,exacto blade, tweezers/pick, snarewire and a few feet of 550 as a lanyard.
3 - Small resilient Flashlight
4 - BIC
5 - Firesteel
6 - Small Tin of salve/Beeswax
7 - SAK
8 - Multi-tool
9 - phone
10 - Kubaton Pen

Wallet Includes about 4 ft of folded Duct tape, 2.5 inch squares of different grit sandpapers, a couple of "tiny" ceramic rods, that I broke out of a cheap sharpener, and a DMT course key chain sharpener (I broke off the Key chain/plastic).

Jacket:
Altoid PSK including Meds/Small fisher refill,Bandaids, sterile Razors, mini light, more needles thread, doan mag block, yarrow, snarewire, hooks weights, line, small pliers.

About 12ft of 550
BIC
More folded Duct tape
Smaller Altoid Tin that has vaseline soaked Cotton balls.
Gloves/hat
Small New Testament

Part of the reason I have so much redundancy, is in the event something is lost or if it really is a cruddy situation, I may have something extra that I can give to someone else.

Thanks,

sp

Zippo and innova x5 on my belt. Swiss army knife in one pocket ,delica or endura in the other. Car keys have compass, ladybug. Need to make kit w/ ceramic rod and firestarter .

Man I used to be very well prepared at all times because the truck had my BOB in it. It also had my PSK in it too. So when it was robbed, they got me good.

I'm still not unprepared. I've got my slipjoint, a Fenix flashlight, a lighter, and my cell phone in my pockets at all times. And during winter I've got another flashlight, another lighter, and a SAK in my coat. My truck has some basics too. A cold steel shovel, a hatchet, a fixed blade, and another lighter for fire. As well as a bunch of crap that would make good tinder...

Edited: Also in the truck are gloves, an extra coat, a wool blanket, various straps, rope, and a tarp.

TWBryan does the ladybug stay closed when taking out your keys etc? I thought about getting a couple for my key sets.

Now to the question at hand, I carry my cell phone, a sypderco native spearpoint plain edge one handed knife clipped on my interior pants pocked and I carry a med. stockman buck 303 cadet also in my pocket. In my large coat I have a hankerchief, pad and pen, a small bic lighter, my zippo, and a pair of gloves.

Most all my stuff is in a b.o.b in my truck where I have all the usually suspects, Buck 119 fixed, buck 110, cold steel mini bushman, first aid, rope, 550 cord, etc. Heck I even keep a fishing pole in my truck for just in case! Now with ice fishing season I keep a large carhart snow suit and snow boots and an extra ice auger. Fishing is very important to me though;-)

Oh yeah I have an extra set of clothes, underwear, pants, socks, shirt, flannel shirt jacket, a couple of beanies, and of course some hard candy and a couple of packs of instant hot chocolate and tea bags in my glove box.

Well, I have to readjust to civilian clothes over the holidays and weekends now that I'm back, and my "work" EDC doesn't carry too well for regular clothes:eek::

I do like your idea of 100mph tape/duct tape. I've taken to carrying a flat role in my back pocket opposite of my wallet...I can easily cary 8-10 feet and it always comes in handy, moreso than 550 cord for daily uses.

So, with that said, now that I'm "gearing down" a little, I'm almost always carrying:

A folder (or two)
SAK Farmer (sometimes my SAK Outrider in a svelt belt pouch)
Watch, wallet, sunglasses and Burt's Bees chapstick (love that stuff!)
Flat role of 100mph tape
Small lighter (usually a Windmill for around town)
Small Fenix LED (either the single AA or 3V Cree LED)
Small braided 550 cord (only about 6 feet, unless I'm wearing cargo pants)
Small pen

Depending on my activity, I may or may not have my:

Leatherman charge with sheath...DMT mini sharpener, small ferro rod and AAA LED (it's a great combo package but bulky unless you're wearing a large shirt or jacket.

Small fixed blade...if has a good sheath, this is another good addition (TX law allows up to 5.5" fixed blades). For me, it's more of habit than need (I carry a Pygmy ATAK when in uniform). I do have the great little Fallkniven WM-1 i a figure-8 550-cord harness (MercHarness) that is a great low-profile piece and if you're shirt isn't tucked in, it's quite easy and fast to access.

CCW (just completed my Texas CHL course with my wife as I feel odd using my older, but still valid GA CHL license) and extra ammo (if it's an auto, just an extra mag, if it's my little .38-J-Frame, a speed strip).

Now, I'm trying to put a slim PSK together. I have a nice little belt pouch that will wear in the SOB, but it only works well with a jacket (nice, now that's a bit colder). I'll get a picture of the contents. It's a modified Ritter kit (great starter BTW).

Lastly, I haven't really needed any keys/keychain over the past year and a half, so I need to get that put back together. I have a small firesteel and mini LED right now...but I don't want it too bulky...here's a picture of my old setup:

More to follow...

Diamond Dog-No problems with the ladybug opening, but I don't wear really tight pants.

Cool, I want to pick one up for me and the wife to put on our keys. I just didn't want to grap my keys in my pocket and the knife is opened up a little then whammo a nice little slice on the finger! I think they have a smaller one than the ladybug if memory serves me right. Thanks TWBryan!

my edc breaks down like this...three folders...benchmade or spyderco al mar, all the same make or combination....one sak classic, one sak farmer, livesay woo and NRG....one xl spycapsule with rei stormproof matches pj cotton ball, jute twin and slivers of fatwood. a scout steel, swiss lighter or zippo, surefire e1e and coast led lenser flashlights.
now here is the fun stuff....
Beretta 21A 22lr with 3 extra mags
Glock 17 with two extra mags/or Springfield XD9 SUBCOM with 2 extra mags

my other stuff is on my belt....

I always carry a high quality fixed blade, and often a SAK Ranger along with it. Add a good cellular phone, and a compact flashlight, and I'm set to go. Can't foresee any even remotely likely scenario that I couldn't get out of with those, in this country.

My EDC right exactly now: nothing at all.
My EDC in seven seconds from now:
Fallkniven U2
Leatherman Fuse
Silva lighter
Whistle
Fenix P3D Q5
That is more than enough.

Mine is pretty boring:
Whichever folder is handiest (Right now it's an Emerson mini Commander)
Cell phone
Keychain has an ARC light, and a mini SAK
In my wallet I have band aids, and some duct tape.

Spyderco Delica
SAK Ambassador
A CRKT ABC Hammond (usually)
Fire making materials: Ferro rod, wax coated cotton balls
hemp rope a bunch
almost always a rain coat
Leatherman supertool
energy bars
Cellphone
Minibic
LED light

Here's what I've got on me:

Leatherman Wave
mini-bic with duck tape wrapped around it
keys with usb drive with secure password program
army firesteel
fox40 whistle
LED lite
small gauge steel wire
wallet w/ bandaids and 2 firestraws for emergency

i'll soon add a SAK rambler or classic, cause I really miss having the toothpick!

I'm always carrying these things on me:

1. My EDC knife, usually my emerson commander, benchmade griptilian, or my spyderco endura with spyder edge.
2. My SOG powerlock on my belt
3. SAK classic sd in pocket
4. Altoid psk in front left pocket which has:
-lantern flint starter
-box of 20ct wind/water proof matches
-extra flints (5)
-cotton balls
-good size piece of firestick
-small pill sized "just add water and instant towel"
-tube with: two iodine tabs (PA) and two PA Plus to get rid of the iodine taste.
-Another tube with: 50lb spiderwire fishing string, fishing hooks, fishing weight, 6 strike anywhere matches with strike pad, and two needles with thread.

That about does it for the "survival stuff" everything else is for "city survival" which would be a cell phone on belt clip, wallet, keys, G-shock watch, contact case, and my eagle scout ring which I keep in my pocket so I don't mess it up.

Looks like I've got enough stuff in my pockets to go out in the woods and start a damn city!!! (I probably could with some copper wires and a gerbal with running wheel for a generator :D, lol.)

Black crackle Zippo w/ extra flint in the batting, one handed trekker SAK, swiss card (scissors, pen, pin, useless knife, toothpick, tweezers), CRKT M21 SF, SOG black Paratool, Inova X5 black, flat roll of duct tape with about 2 feet of paracord tucked in the middle.

I work in a hotel and always end up using the SAK for guest issues. Keep the SAK and Paratool in my outside coat pockets. Good news is I have ended up using all the tools for different situations that have come up from patching/sealing sinks/toilet plumbing until maintenance could fix it to a guest needing scissors immediately.

OH Trekker
Cell phone

Mimi's Cafe gift certificates for when I get hungry.

Skills and the grit to make it seem to take precedent over the stuff you can buy IMHO.

Vic SAK Compact
Princeton Tex mini light
Small Bic
Carmex
Spyderco Delica
Leatherman Blast

EDC as of now...wenger watch,RAT3,LMwave,cash roughly $20, kershaw blur ,kershaw light my fire fire steel, photon white LED ,p38,pen,cell phone.

My truck has some basics too. A cold steel shovel, a hatchet, a fixed blade, and another lighter for fire. As well as a bunch of crap that would make good tinder...

Yeah, all those pre-approved offers that are not really pre-approved at all from CAPITAL ONE and the other vermin sure do come in handy. :)
