Survival EDC

Knife (folder and or necker), lighter, pen, notepad, watch, ID/cards. I am not worried about survival in the city so that I need more (flashlight-maybe). It is different when I am closer to nature but I am stuck in the urban jungle.

How full are many of your pockets?? I can't stand having a wallet etc. in my back pockets so everything goes into front ones.

My daily EDC is a Vic Soldier (occasionally my Spydie Dragonfly), cell phone, wallet, keys with a pair of those field tweezers attached. I keep a small bag in my truck which has: SOG Powerlock (damn useful little tool, though I doubt I would use it very much for survival heh)
Vic Super Tinker
2x Space blankets
First aid kit
Mag block with attached fero rod. The cheap one from Walmart :)
I think I have a 50 foot length of paracord
Waterproof matches
Flashlight
Whistle
Was thinking of adding some water purification tablets and something to boil it in.

I also keep a serrated Spyerdo Endura in my glove compartment as a seatbelt cutter if I ever need it.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that mag block, it's the same thing as the ones sold everywhere else, just a different package. If you look at the mag block, they are all going to say "Coughlan's" on them. Now that I think about it......half of my small outdoor equipment is from Coughlan's :p.

On me every day is:

1 large folder or small FB
1 SOG Power plier
Keys w/ County Comm mini pry-bar and Fauxton
Cellphone

In my pack (Condor II with Tactical Tailor canteen pouches added):
Small screwdriver set (10 bits)
Large screwdriver multi-bit driver (6 bits)
Fox 40
Silva stormproof lighter
Steel cup
Duct tape - roll
Wallet
Snowpeak spork
Bandanna
Cellphone charger
Safe keys
Peak LED Caribbean
Surefire SC1 w/6 spare CR123's
Jones Bros Entry Tool
Crawford Legionnaire neck knife
Note book/spare pens
Measuring tape
2 Nalgenes
Dental floss

When travelling light, I transfer some of these items into a Maxped Fatboy, depending on the occasion. But the Condor is usually with me.

In pockets or on person:

cell phone, small pocketknife, lighter, firesteel, flashlight

In jacket (about 3 feet away most of the day):

small Doug Ritter based survival kit, with water purification tabs and Immodeium added, oh and some toilet paper too, all kept in a soft-side first aid zippered pouch.

In car or carried around in a daypack ( I have 5 of these packs made up), my "man" purse as my friends call it (I think they're just jealous :D)

fixed blade, tarp, blanket, hat, gloves, extra socks, full-blown firestarting kit with firesteel, lighter, PJ cottonballs, some tinder, Esbit stove and tablets, matches, powerbars, nalgene bottle, steel cup, paracord, first aid supplies, Leatherman Wave, bandana, poncho, compass, and more than I can remember off the top of my head at this time. All the essentials I may need to survive.

I had a friend ask me why I carried all that "crap" around. I responded that if the SHTF, that "crap" as he called it and the knowledge I have to use it may make the difference between life or death. He laughed and asked if I was crazy. I shrugged. Why argue?
