Survival Knives and what do you put in that hollow handle?

here is a quality tiny compass.

Or a cheap one!

i love that knife, but I would only put a ferro rod, some strike anywhere matches, and a couple tinders. Knife and fire is all you need.

here are the best strike anywhere matches I have found recently….

best shipping for me was on 3 packs of matches.

Ye ole MapQuest printed directions
Did that when I went to France for a whole 28 hours.
Old flip phone and a MapQuest printout.
Ended up going off track on way back from Dieppe, and ended up in some part of Paris I didn't intend to be in. Some of the people were sketchy...but I was sketchier after so many hours of no sleep, so it all worked out. :D

In the handle of my CRK Project 1 that I used for feral hog hunting, I kept a bit of betadine and some duct tape and steri strips for injuries, and SAK tweezers for splinter removal till back at the truck (running through south Texas brush can be bad!). My Bianchi hollow handled knife I kept braided fishing line, ferro rod, vaseline soaked cotton, and SAK tweezers.

Your knife looks very nice- despite all the Rambo ribbing you are getting🤣, I hope you enjoy it.

A mini Bic lighter will last you longer and works better than most matches for the size.

Papers and pen, because survival.

A tiny twine of nylon fabric, like the ones issued in the military sewing kit. I don't know where to get though. Some needles, too.

Med kit should have its own place, I don't recommend to try to tuck on in the handle. Some people for some reason think that a micro med kit good enough to replace a small actual first aid.

🤣

Totally fine with me, almost everything else I own is pretty vanilla: CRK, GEC, some spyderco, ... Gotta have a little rambo somewhere in the collection!

For me, this is a total nostalgia knife to that flea market survival knife I had as a kid.
