Survival pouch on my Nimravus sheath.

Mike,
The loop was fine but I decided that I wanted to carry more than just a steel so the pouch was born. I actually got the idea of carrying it over my shoulder from Bear grylls water bottle, and the few times I have had it out I like it. I use a small D ring to clip the sheath to a belt loop with the cord over my shoulder so the kinfe is readily available and can be worn in multiple positions. Chris

Hey that is an awsome Idea, also the way the rope it tied, is it in the same way you showed us all?

Here is the loop that the knife is on now, along with a carabianer to clip to a belt loop. Thank you so much RB, this process is stupidly easy, and works so well.

No problem Fonly, glad I could help. I had a nimravus and really liked it except that mine was partially serated. I always meant to pick up one of the plain edge ones but haven't gotten around to it yet, nice knives. Chris

In the end, and a finish Im am very happy with. I fits good and looks OK.

Thanks Chris, this is a great way to carry some extra rope, and Its a comfortable way to wear it.

robert that thing is huge!

but also appealing in a sense... haven't been a big fan of drop leg rigs.. but that one looks quite nice. did you make it yourself?

It's my sheath, in a rig from High Speed Gear. Modular, light, and pretty handy. My favorite feature is that I can wear it under a pack, and if I lose the pack, it stays with me.

I just got two of the Spec-Op brand Survival sheaths. I think they're pretty cool. Good size pouch on the front. I use a tan one with a SOG Recon Bowie. In the pouch I have small pill bottle with asprin and antihistamines, fire steel, sharpening stone, and some other stuff.
