Survival sheath systems - Belt sheath

Task Force K,

Just so you know, the Ohio CCW laws change effective March 17. As of that day, you no longer have to have the gun in a holster that's in plain sight in your car, you simply have to have it in a holster (or carried in any of the other acceptable ways). It's a really big step forward for Ohio's CCW.

You can read all about it at www.ohioccw.org

Have a good one, and enjoy that knife!

Sweet, sweet, sweet...I'm going to go strap every gun I own to my body...naked...right now...and drive my car...it's the last chance I'll have to explain it away as having to open carry.

Thanks for the info. Up until the law passed I was probably on www.Ohioccw.org every day. I guess I better get back to checking it frequently even if it means less time on Bladeforums (stop looking relieved everybody)

That's excellent news. Now you can carry a sensible holster! Does the license cover both knife and gun?

Well, now you're getting into a strange grey area. Technically, the knife could be construed as a deadly weapon not covered by the CCW as could a baton. The affirmative defense is kind of weak..."but Your Honor, it's not a weapon...it's a tool." I have a feeling that hanging it on the same shoulder system (or on my idea for a holster at that) would weaken the defense but I'm not sure that I care. Maybe I should have you make one with a holster for a tape measure or a spirit level and see what they make of that.

It's not like where I grew up...you were expected to have a knife on you.

Number one thank you, Task Force K. I remember you well since we shared the wonderful memories of the Gore family outings and the resulting friction with the military working dog. (Never put the military, an attack dog, and the friends of Al Gore together everyone, not a good combo) I'm glad you dig the sheath, and I must say, your wife is a saint, and I hope you both feel better.

She may be...I mean...she IS a saint but she got herself a Spyderco Moran, too.
