survival sheath systems help

This is THE ANSWER:

Go to the Sheaths and Such sub-forum and take a look at the sticky of sheathmakers and pictures of their work. If any of them look interesting, one can do a search here, or post a question here in GB&U before they make an order. There are dozens of great sheathmakers here on BF who deserves everyone's business.

There is no reason for an "it's worth the wait" type of justification for crappy service.

Times change. Once there were few choices. Now we have a 'Sheaths & Such" forum, and an ever-growing list of competing sheathmakers. Check them all out. Pictures, reputations, all available.

I recently had a back sheath made for my CRKT Hissatsu by Survival Sheath Systems. It did take about 2 months and several emails to finally get it, but when I finally did arrive and I tried the system out, I was blown away by the quality and workmanship. Robert apologized for the delay, explaining that he is also swamped with rush orders for military personal being deployed overseas. To make up for the delay, Robert also threw in a chest harness system that I could switch my CRKT over to if I wanted, for FREE! I wasn't too interested about the chest system, but I attached a Benchmade Skinner (Fecas Design, I believe) that I've had for years just to try it out, and that combined rig as it turns out works great. I was very impressed... with both systems.
I have several more knives I would like to get rigs made for, and as long as I'm not in a hurry for it, I'd have no problem sending SSS more work.

So you are telling everyone that "it's worth the wait?"

Why? How many custom kydex sheaths have you had made? How do you know your SSS sheath is better than others here who make great sheaths, can communicate and deliver on time as promised?

Hmmm.... something in kydexland smell fishy again.

just wanted everyone to know I finally received my knife and new sheath. he did an excellent job to say the least. I spoke to him over the phone and it seems he had an issue with himself and a vendor moving and that was what held it all up. well, thats his story. in the end the finished product was better than expected. it just sucks it took so long. I would buy from him again, but if this happens again then shame on me.

forgot to update everyone, sorry. received sheath and knife. excellent work but was not worth waiting six plus months. He told me his nylon guy had moved and thats what screwed up the process. his work is excellent and if that was the case I will try him one more time for some other sheathes and see what happens.
