I had assumed you would drill that out on a lathe. That's an outside the box way to do what you needed to do, nice! :) Bet that made some pretty scary noises while you were drilling that out eh? LOL

excuse my ignorance, but why did you put the milling machine sideways?? what is the difference? couldn´t you just put it vertical and grab it with the vise from the milling machine itself?
and as Nick point out...if i´m not mistaken, the perforation on the first hollow handle survival you did it with a lathe, didn´t you?. why did you change the method now? is it because of the three point support where you have to secure the handle? in that case you had a simetrical cilinder. now, being more rectangular doesn´t allow you to secure it that way??

disculpen mi ignorancia, pero por q pusieron la perforadora de costado?? cual es la diferencia? no podían ponerlo vertical y agarrar el cuchillo con la morsa q trae la misma perforadora??
y como Nick señalo...si no me equivoco, la perforación en el primer survival de mango hueco la hicieron con un torno, no? por q cambiaron el método ahora?? es debido al soporte de tres puntos donde aseguran el mango? en ese caso era un cilindro simétrico, ahora siendo mas rectangular no les permite fijarlo de ese modo??

As you you say, in this case, I had to do with the milling machine because the handle is not cylindrical as above.
The milling machine is the side because it does not have enough height of the machine column.
