Well folks!!! It comes from Ellie herself in the who ordered a GSO 12 thread...

We won't run anymore preorders for these models. I'm not sure yet if we will be offering preordering for the folder.

Our plan right now is to just keep running with the Monday release of already sharpened knives. They are still going to be hard to get so I expect people will still complain and beg to be added to a special list.

Now the question is, what will it look like, what lock, what kind of steel (good God I hope its 3V), will it be a collaboration with a known company or will it be a midtech?

That's awesome!!! But how could she just drop it like that - like it's no big deal??? :) Hopefully we'll see some drawings soon!!!
 
What I am looking forwards to is a lefty compatible folder with good steel. If I recall correctly, Guy is a lefty so that should be great news for us southpaws.

I was thinking 20CV for a folder. Stainless, edge-retention. I wouldn't turn it down in 3V though.

It'll be cool to see what Guy has come up with - any details you can share at this time? Is it just going to be one style for now - or maybe a medium and a large? Liner, frame, axis-style?
 
I'm not sure of any trademark issues, but an axis or compression lock would be nice.
