I can't tell if the wave in the blade is cosmetic or if the edge is actually bent. Interesting.

Yeah that wave isn't from the factory. I'd be a bit hesitant also, but at least the seller is being completely honest.
 
i don't think that a bent knife would leave S!K's workshop as a 2nd or whatever number you'd put on it. Something does not add up and that GSO 10 on the exchange definitely seems to be "frame damaged"!
 
The wording looks to have been revised from yesterday on the production schedule page and it looks like there will be something on offer (doesn't mention what models though, yet) on Tuesday July 5th:

Available Tuesday, July 5th at 5pm, PST:

Since Monday is the 4th of July we will not be listing anything until Tuesday, July 5th.

Regarding that 10 on the exchange. Could very well have been damaged in production and missed during final sharpening. Unless the previous owner was great at restoring a facorory edge with a belt sander or the current owner is having a hard time distinguishing a factory edge, it's entirely possible that a slight wave got through QC if the lighting wasn't right.

Is the production schedule always this vague/slow to update?

Every week is different. Ellie is usually really good about having information by Sunday evening. I think with the shop slowing down in June and the holiday weekend, they're a little out of the groove. Keep checking back today to see what will happen.
