Yes I know it a mess, the only thing with the pre-sale and pre-orders was there was never a specific date of shipping ever promised vs the 90 day on the weekly sales. A person always had the right to cancel their order which to the best of knowledge nobody has ever been stiffed on. They stopped taking weekly sales orders for about a year, are making progress on 3-4 models and some headway on the backlog albeit never enough until they are all caught up. I still have pre orders from 2015 I am waiting on as well, so yes it would have been nice to have a thread to be able to see what was shipping recently. Sorry for getting involved Oyster, I thought it was a good idea for a thread. Mike out-
Knowing that a year old order ships does not help knowing when a 3 year old order will ship when dealing with a company like survive. That is one of the many reasons they are not allowed to spread criticism free information here anymore.

So then when someone posts a 2015 order on here you are good with that? You do know their orders never have been shipped in sequence as everything was opened up for sale at the same time and all the parts/supply orders are mixed in there as well?
 
The whole point of this thread was to give those members still waiting for knives a place to keep track of orders actually being fulfilled and to gauge when they might receive theirs.
I felt this was important since most of us are spread out around the country/world without knowing each other personally and therefore have little/no opportunity to get that information elsewhere.

We all know about the problems. The purpose of the thread is neither to celebrate nor to bash Survive but to provide basic information to members.

Please keep rants/complaints (and even praise) off this thread.

No. You don't get to shill for S!K with no response.

S!K has been providing false forecasts on when they would ship since 2014 (maybe earlier). All this talk about "you can just ask for a refund" is not quite true. While S!K has issued refunds, it has at times taken months for them to do so. Any while it is true that they have not taken orders for a year, they still have orders that are over three years old with no foreseeable shipping date. They are shipping knives, but they still have a massive backlog.

What this thread (and so many others like it) does is gloss over the numerous glaring issues and try to discuss one small "success." What needs to be discussed in EVERY thread is that S!K took a lot of peoples money based on timing estimates that were completely inaccurate. They did not do this once, but consistently from 2014 to 2017. Making a mistake once is regrettable but understandable. Making the same mistake again and again for at least three years (and essentially getting an interest free loan in the process) shows either gross incompetence or duplicity.

S!K posted (and then deleted the comment) on Instagram that they were going to start taking orders again soon. I want everyone to have a full picture of S!K before deciding to work with them.

Understand everyone’s frustration and was equally concerned whether mine would ever ship. I’m also still waiting on other orders.
Clearly my intentions have been misconstrued by some and I have removed my earlier comment.

ETA: Survive can post all they want on IG or in their newsletters about knives being shipped. But how is anyone of us supposed to verify that? The point of the thread was for members that are known to others to post and thereby provide information - information that could, for example, be useful in making the decision whether to pull the plug and request a refund or continue to wait it out. As for the problems, they are well-known and covered in countless other threads.
To avoid snide remarks and strife between forum members, it is definitely better for all of us to silently remain in our personal bubbles with no clue or information about what is going on.

I have also received 2 shipping notices, both orders were from August 2017. 2.7 factory second received a few weeks ago, and a 4.1 ugly betty received Friday.

Sorry, could you please clarify. Are the dates (two weeks ago & last Friday) when you received the shipping notices or received the actual knives? Thanks!

Yes, I'd very much like to see customers get what they ordered 3 years ago even though customers who order the same knife 2 years later are getting them now.

I, most others here, and the admins/owner think it is an absolute scam that some folks wait 3 years while others wait 1 (even when it should have been 90 days) for the same model of knife. Parts and supply excuses don't work after 3 years in this situation. That is why they got the boot in this community. If folks don't want to here the truth about this company they shouldn't post about them.

The information is a good thing. You however cannot expect a thread here to be filled with only what you want. Good, bad, and ugly.....

I just wanted as some others have shown they do as well, wanted to see what had been shipping.
I realize the forum is shutdown and a big cookie to Shinyedges for his diligent hard work to protect all current and future knife purchasers from getting into a situation without being well informed.
I didn't realize that the Admin/Owners wanted all mention of the knife company in mention to never be spoken of again in any way like in ancient times, no trace of them left as if they never existed. I must have missed that post, my bad.

I agree, that is shameful.
When I ordered mine, I was new to Survive and only learned about the true depth of their difficulties afterwards.
I did not know that by placing my order I would somehow thereby seal my complicity in a scam and subject myself to the wrath of other forum members.

You'd think after 3 years they could get to all those 4.1 firsts before shipping out what are essentially 4.1 thirds. I'm not sure how it helps the guy getting royally screwed to know another person is getting less screwed. I sure wouldn't put any faith in this sort of information. Survive will clearly do and say what they want when they want.

Honestly they along with HTM are some of the biggest fumbles I have seen in knife company history.

Both companies had amazing hype behind them that other makers would kill for. Both completely blew their chance at taking advantage of that buzz.

That is not at all what I said the admins/owner think. Hyperbole will not help in this discussion. You need to reread what I posted and consider your responses more seriously.

It didn't take shiny any diligent work to get them kicked out. Took one thread in the right place. Then, when looked at by the Man whose house we are in, he decided survive could not continue to use this community to carry out their scam.
 
They seem like they were a classic case of taking new orders in order to fulfill the last.

Or atleast they would have if they ever fulfilled those last orders.

You might have gotten even more vitriol out in GKD. And like I said, if you don't want to hear people's opinions on a subject it might be best to keep it a secret. Or......take it to a venue where the company is still accepted. They lost their ability here to have a safe space.

Again, this was intended to provide info for anyone who wanted to get an idea of where things stood with their orders - not to benefit Survive. The snide remarks towards me started almost immediately.

Like I said, they lost their ability to spread criticism free information here. Sorry. Those are the facts. If folks want to announce they've finally gotten their knives, good for them, but they must expect to hear what other people think about it. This is a forum after all.

Yes, it’s a forum. And you and a few others completely missed that I was trying to help out other forum members with info and not get the thread clogged up with attacks against each other or retelling the same story we all know too well.
I failed. I get that.
