Survive starter 5.1

Has any one got their 5.1 yet? I thought they would be shipping November ?

I'm really anxious for people to start reporting about their shipping notifications. Two weeks ago on instagram there was a pic with the caption about orders going out "tomorrow". I'm curious as to who made day 1 orders and if they're receiving their 5.1's yet. Come on 5.1's, we need you :D

That's the thing, I don't really have a clue. I just know deep in my heart that they're trying to stay on schedule :)

Do you guys know if any were actualy shipped by the survive team ?

We have gotten a few out but not many so far. There have also been GSO-5 and Necker II orders that need to go out. We should start hitting it hard on the GSO-5.1 preorders late next week.

Oh, so only 3 models trying to get out the door all at once? :p

Keep at it, you two  5.1's heading out is the biggest news in the knife industry right now... as far as I'm concerned!

5.1 is my most anticipated knife. While waiting to place my order for one I have been buying a little of some other slightly more inferior knives once in awhile just to tie me over. What a torturous wait but I am sure it's gonna be worth every part of it.

The real worry should be going broke once the 5.1 gets there...because you will want the rest of the lineup! My first Survive! knife was technically a factory second necker, because its all they had available. Liked it well enough so i went for a 4.1 next...well now its at: 1x5.0, 2x4.1, 2x3.5, 1xN-2, 1xN.....and a new 3.5 on preorder... I may have to pick up one of the spare 5.1's when they hit, though I am hoping to hold out for a 6...long story short you will be happy and it is worth the wait. :)

Lol! What a collection you have there!

You are absolutely right so I have been mindful about setting enough cash for the 5.1. That's also why I have not bought the Chris Reeve Sebenza which I have been thinking of buying. I don't want to miss out on the bandwagon for the 5.1 on this run. I have a 4.1 on preorder and although I am sure it is a great knife, the 4.7 and 5.1 size category is probably the best all rounder survival knife.

To tie me over I just bought an Esee 3 last night, something cheap just for me to play with in the mean time. Although I am quite sure I may want a 3.5 as well, the Esee 3's much thinner blade profile seems to make it a great slicer for fine wood work so I must try it out. Somehow I just have this fetish for super fine feathering and the Esee 3 should be able to do that job. Have been using a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 for that.

I had 3 4.1's but recently let one go...I got carried away a few months ago..I am very excited to see the new knives once they get in hands. We all have other knife brands too, if you do end up picking up the sebenza definitely post up in our folder thread! I have had my eye on one as well..

Anything yet ? I keep checking my mail and Santa still has not brought my 5.1. When will the other 5.1s go on sale ?

I'm patiently, mostly anyways, waiting for my 5.1 to arrive so I can put it in my patriot leather sheath and take it hunting.

I think they were finishing the N2 shipping today and I believe Ellie said 5.1 preorders are next so I would expect the first to start shipping tomorrow or Wednesday. Then people who didn't preorder will get a chance. So I'd say it'll be at least a couple weeks b4 they go for sale on the website

I really can't wait to start seeing reviews of this knife! I think i still want a 6.0 but the 5.1 just keeps screaming my name as well....too many good choices?! As the first of the new models, it will be exciting to see how people take to all of the changes.

Lucky bastard!! Haha!!

The patches are coming out awesome also! I like both colors a lot.
