Got back from SFO last night.

Procedure did not go very well. I'd developed an ulcer (got a very nasty looking pix of it in case anybody wants to see it) which prevented installation of both stents. Got one in but have to go back in 6 weeks for rework on second one.

Slept 30 hours in hotel room after procedure. No food for 72 hours. Down to 147 again but no pain and feel pretty well today.

Only two options available to me for tumor treatment -- the dreaded Whipple surgery which I refuse to do and Tomotherapy which I'm going to get set up.

Boys, take it from me. Don't get old and sick and when checkout time arrives have a nice quick, clean heart attack.

Thanks to all for fine help.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop Uncle. Sorry to hear about the ulcer :( but very glad to hear you're still in good spirits. We're still here for you (as if there were any doubt!). ;)

Bill, very glad you survived another one. We/I thought about you the whole time you were gone.

I'm working on the heart attack.

Been wondering...what, they don't have computers in the hospital?

Glad you're back...

Bill,

Glad to hear the news. Now on the heart attack - you want to make sure that you have it after a fantastic dinner, a good cigarette or cigar, a little companionship and a nice long (uhmm!) session - then it is good to go out with a heart attack...that is how I want to check out.

Glad to have you back, Uncle Bill. Sorry to hear about the ulcer and I hope everything else goes well for you.

Ben

Kis - thanks for the link - I was one of those wondering....now I know.

new form of cancer radiation therapy that combines the precision of a CT scan with the potency of radiation treatment to selectively destroy cancerous tumors while avoiding surrounding tissue.

Bill - I'm glad to hear you made it back ok, and have some energy. Could've been a heckuva lot worse, I reckon...

Re: quick painless death

A priviledge, for sure. Worse way to go is laying on a table plugged into a machine for 10-20 years.

Some wonderful super perfumed jasmin Indian insence being sent as you read this wishing for more positive updates! Best wishes and strength...

Dan :)
