Survivors: other knives you like

The standard BF response is get both of course. Just guessing from the profile though the 4.5 is going to be a slicing machine.

I would definitely be into both but, my wallet disagrees:). Plus, I only need so many of the same size/type knife and I already have an Esee 4. I do fear though that the Esee wont cut it(pun intended) anymore once I try my first Survive!. Yeah, the 4.5 does look like a sweet little slicer/carver and would be plenty tough enough for my uses. I dont baton with knives this size anyway. I have a BK21 and a hatchet for that:D

Ahh, supposed to be talking 'other knives' in here, though I don't think anyone could blame us.

My humble Fiddleback group with one Osprey mixed in. The Bushboot isn't mine sadly, it should be on its way home with new leather soon.

I don't know if the 4.1 is gonna be as awesome, so I didn't order one. I figure, the 3.5, 4.5 BC, 4.7 and then 6. That's my team right there.

With the same handle contouring improvements the 4.7 and 5.1 have had it's gonna be a winner for sure!

I sold my ESSE 4 as soon as the HM models were announced, fits my hand much better.

I haven't had a chance to beat on the BK21 much yet, looking forward to that.

Its good times. I got mine a while ago and have been "beating" on it since spring. Its a great chopper and batons well too.

I've got a 12, 4.5, 4.7 CruForgeV, and 3.5 ordered plus the 4.7 and 5.1 I already have. The 12 and 3.5 paired or 4.7 by itself are all I could ever realistically need but I'll probably end up going after each one.

Gratuitous other knife pic. Love me some T.M. Hunt. I missed out on a red G10 Tradewater, that would've rounded things out nicely.

Nice collection:thumbup:

How do you like the Production Bushfinger? I thought about getting one of those.

Oh so pretty! love the finish. It's like, Sebenza man jewelry meets bushcraft for my inner lumbersexual.

The Osprey Apache with the black and red scales is just ridiculously comfortable. And looks amazing to boot.

Great pics! TKC scales are great! I like the KaBar micarta but the TKC and LMF Joe's are amazing.

Thanks man! I've had that one the longest I think and used it the most. If I had it to do over again though I'd go for the production Kephart. 1/8" stock on the Kephart vs 5/32" on the Bushfinger.

Wow, that's going to be quite the collection. I still dont have a Survive. I have wanted one for years but, could never stomach the wait times. Now I think I might just bite the bullet and wait. Its still hard to stomach a possible 1-2+ year wait time though. Hopefully Guy and the crew can find a way to up production(while maintaining Guy's high standards of course).

Nice Hunt's.

Grogie: I just lifted that CPK-LC jinx on you so no more black cloud to follow you. You better have that wallet of yours all fattened up and ready because you're landing a Light Chopper at its next round. Now if you mess with me on a FK, I will stick a pin in your voodoo doll and you don't wanna know where I'd be sticking that pin :D

Thanks, just a cell phone quicky. Yeah, I like the TKC's way better then the stockers. I still havent tried the micarta's. I heard they were thicker though and I dont have the largest hands so I went with the TKC's. They sure made a difference over the stockers. The stockers would make my fingers sore after a session of chopping maybe because they are so slippery they allow you fingers to smash together? I have the TKC's for my Izula 2 as well and they really took that knife to a whole new level.

Ellie has mentioned that they are looking into options to increase capacity, obviously they don't want to get everyone's hopes up before they get something locked in. I figure I'll do like I did with Beckers and ESEE, buy one each and sell the ones I don't use.

Todd made the Yuma sight unseen off my description of the Yuma, cant ask for better than what I got!

These are all from other BF makers. The Big Chris on top is S90V, slices like crazy. The Fall Creek is every bit as comfy and good looking as anything I have. The Jac Wilde is a beauty too, haven't had a chance to use it at all yet though.

I dunno man, another 4.5 may be getting ordered this weekend :P I think after going 0 for 3 on the LC's I'll be perfectly fine with waiting for a preorder list like was being talked about for the FK's. I would've had one today but my PC kept loading pics and moving the screen down when I went to reply, I was control + V'ing right when the reply box moved!

I want to see my voodoo doll, it may be an improvement over the real thing.

Izzy 2 with TKC scales was far and away my favorite ESEE until the HM models came out. It's still my favorite small fixed blade. Mike Perrin didn't shoot the idea of a 6 with the same treatment being done right away so there's hope on that.

Yeah, its one of my favorite small fixed blades too. Its one of my favorite EDC's. I pretty much only EDC fixed blades now. I sold most of my folders. I havent tried a HM Esee yet, the only thing I dont like about them is the lack of a decent finger guard at the ricasso(quillion). I would like to try a GSO 2.7 for EDC too. I hope someone can post a pic of a 2.7 next to an Izula 2 for comparison.

Self deprecating, I see ;)

Doll is based on Russell Crow circa when he was Maximus in Gladiator, not this old, fat and balding current model! We cool with that?!

You already have a lot of very nice knives. No more sympathy for you. I hope you come last :p :D

No one can talk smack about me better than I can[emoji2]

I'm not fat and bald yet, just old.

Back to jinxes eh?!!! Fine!😉

The Ultralite also happens to be the centerpiece of the most ridiculously embarrassing pictures I've ever taken involving a knife.

Still miss the gal that filled that bra out, but I can't say I fault her reasoning :D
