Sven saw

Naw look at my new photos. I'm going trying out this "ultralite" thing now. 21 inch bowsaw, 19 inch wetterlings, and the Lite machete.

nonsense! i was betting you'll be the first one ever to go on a day hike with a sherpa :D i'm thinking about going with goats since they're cheaper in the long run.

Must be a day hike, that guy didn't take enough beer for anything longer. My GF refuses to let me pack this guy:

Did anybody used one of these?

Especially the CT-32PRO looks very good

Im curios how they perform

When I was in Scouts, I did a week of trail clearing for OA Brotherhood and one of the guys had a similar saw to that. That thing ate wood like it was nothing. Haven't used one of those in years. You oughta buy it and let us know how it does. :D

I orderd this saw today

It won a test here in Germany.

I Payd 14 €

I will make me a PVC Pipe Sheet and it will be a very nice saw to take with me in the woods.

That saw looks like it cuts really well. The only thing I like about bow saws is that you can replace the blades on them. One big advantage of the sheath saw (don't know what else to call them) is that you can cut limbs overhead.

Thats right, but the saw is only 14 €. So a replacement blade for another saw will not be much cheaper.
+ you dont got a bow and can cut even big branches.

But i think the blade can be replaced.

Looks like 14 Euros is about $19 US.

So say $20 for that saw vs. $35 for a saw that takes regular bowsaw blades. You can get standard bowsaw blades for around $5, so depending on how much you'd use it the cost could be a wash either way.

The no bow part is a good and bad. Limits the size of wood, but you can also get two hands on the bowsaw.

I need both. :D

I got my Wyoming saw yesterday, Very fast shipping (ordered directly from them). I like the quality it's nicer than the Sven, which I only looked at in REI.
Pretty compact when packed up, we'll se how long the case lasts, I probably should have gotten the leather. Not backpacking size but small enough to wander aways from camp, and carry a chopper or axe also. I cut up some eucalyptus that blew down in these brutal southern California winters....barely going to hit 60 today. I cut pretty good I was just messing around but I think it'll work out fine as a camp saw.
