Swamp Rat and SYKCO Chat

I like my Ratweiler in carbon steel.

I think those are my favorite scales of all the busse/kin.

I have a 92 Suburban for trade?
She's perfect, I wouldn't change anything if I could. She's got that glow. (I'm talking about the Ratweiler)

My favorite is the Bandicoot. I originally thought it was an ugly sister to the Howling Rat, but after using both, I really came to love the coot. The size, geometry, all of it is perfect for me. I sincerely doubt that it would fail any task I need doing, and it is pretty much the winner (for me) for my "one knife" scenarios (after my SAKs). Compare the blade profile to a Buck 110, another great knife. I think this is by far the biggest unsung hero that SR ever produced.

I own only one Busse, a HogMuk, and that's because the Swamp hasn't released their own version as of my typing this. I like that INFI offers the toughness (or better) of SR101 with extra corrosion resistance... but not at such increased cost and reduced ergos. I would love to own an INFI RMD, but I've never been disappointed in my SR101.

The INFI RMD is a better carver and IMHO a better knife than SR101 version. I think the Ratmandu in INFI with the edge that Jerry put on it could be, or be one of, the best camp, edc utility knives ever made.

I for one will take the SR101 version any day of the week over the INFI simply because I like the alloy more. Different strokes for different folks though. However I will take edge retention over corrosion resistance all day.

Of the three I own, it's a toss up.

Kill devil or Rodent 9 in the works next!
I'm thinking Custom Shop Satin with Tan Canvas and the Nuclear meltdown treatment.

Oh she got some use yesterday!

My mother in law had some smaller trees crowding each other in the yard. I de-limbed the big tree and I gladly freed up some space and had fun while at it.

The perfect Swamp Rat knife?? Chopweiler..........in fact......it dosent matter what the question is, the answer is.......Chopweiler!
