Its a tec-s3 glow fob. this is the stainless steel version, they have titanium, and aluminum as well.
Its actually pretty cool, i have tested it with a full charge under full spectrum high intensity lighting and it lasted well over 5 hours still glowing visibly, with a charge just from being outside i tested it to glow visibly for around 3 hours. Now it does glow longer than this... but once it gets too faint to be of use i stop the timing.
Another good thing about it is you can replace the glow pellet with a tritium vial of 3x23mm if you wanted it to keep glowing for years... which i plan to do in the future...
But there are good and bad points to each
Advantages:
-Tritium does not need to be charged up with light
-While GITD fobs can initially be brighter than tritium, the brightness will fade and often after an hour (or less), the tritium will be more brighter than the GITD fob.
Disadvantages:
-a very minor amount of radiation is released. It is not meant to be harmful unless you break the tritium vial and breathe-in or ingest the tritium.
-Tritium has a half life of 10-12 years. Over time tritium will very slowly fade in brightness. In 10-12 years it will be half as bright.
