After 10 years of edc'ing a tinker plus another knife ( I always carry 2) the tinker was retired and replace with an Adventurer and the "other" knife is a Bantam now. If I am wearing dress clothes I carry a Bantam and Rally or Pocket Pal. So many knives,so few pockets:grumpy:

Boomstick, not sure if you've been to SOSAK yet. It's a hidden subforum over at Knifeforums. You do have to post in the viewable subforum to be granted access, but the mods there are fairly active, and shouldn't take too much time before getting you in :)

http://www.knifeforums.com/forums/showforum.php?fid/31/

Mods, not sure if linking to other forums is kosher. Please delete if it isn't.

There is also the separate SOSAK website.
There are lots of good articles there, you have to join to access it but joining is free!
Just type in SOSAK and google will take you there.

thanks guys, I have been a member of sosak for a couple of years.....I think I was more wondering if all of us who also carry a fixed blade do you carry an SAK also.

I always have a SAK of some sort on me. There's currently a Wenger PTC on my keychain. I would probably have my rambler on there, but the tweezers are really loose. I may have to rescale it.

When I hike, I'll also bring my PE OHT. It's a nice, useful blade to have along.

Holy crap samek, that one is almost 6 cm wide.

I only have a few: 4 silver alox (solo, bantam, soldier, farmer) and a camper and rucksack.

I got my first for my trip to Europe last summer and the second was from Switzerland. After that I have to complete the set of aloxes and get the big brother to the camper.

Very cool. I was one of the few that never had a SAK as a boy. I started with a Spyderco because that is what my older brother had. I never liked knives that didn't lock when they folded out(not sure if Victorinox had locking models 10-12 years ago). They have since grown on me though. I'm not much of a folder guy in general but those things are definitely handy.

My only folder is an Opinel. Although I wouldn't mind picking up a SAK with just a blade, saw, and can opener.

Keep the knife pictures coming though!

Here are my SAKs. 62 cm of them:eek:. They are all users.

Sweet!
Is that a custom 84mm Alox i see? (4th one from the right, bottom row)
Must be as you can't buy factory alox's with corkscrews!
What tools does it have?
Is it a Scibeer?

We need more pics!
:D

l love saks and have bunch of them. i think they are amazing values. nkp don't go wacko when they see a sak. try an inertial opening of your spyderco chinook around nkp and note the difference in reaction. :D

i have been carrying one for over 25 years. i prefer to have saw, scissors and possibly a cork screw on mine. a sak and a tasman salt make up my edc setup.

I have some where around 120+ SAKs and still collection them.

Scibeer Farmer Mod? Hmmmmm thought it was a Woodsman. (Scibeer Woodsman). Did you get him to put the Belt clip on it too? :)

I have been collecting them for about 40 years. They are about my favorite knife on the planet. I am also a big user of them and have used most of the ones i have which is a bunch. I am a user/collector as opposed to a safe queen type collector.;)

I also have had my SAK for 40 years, and I also have a Classic that is only 20 years old...

Someone asked me since I collected SAKs if I had any with wooden handles.
He had bought some and was told they were high dollar.
The only wooden handled saks I've seen were cheapies and knockoffs.
