Swiss Army Knives suck.

Y'know, posting that a certain knife or group of knives sucks because it does not meet your current needs...looks like either ignorance or trolling.
Just because a hand made katana doesn't meet my needs, that is, I have no current use for it...does that mean it sucks? Don't thinks so.

Swiss Army knives have been useful tools for many folks for many years.

You hit the nail on the head with that one.

Although my SAK's don't get much carry time due to the lack of one hand opening and pocket clip, I would never say they suck. In fact I would say just the opposite, Victorinox has great quality control and they do last forever. I still have SAK's from when I was a kid and they're no worse for the wear. You could make the statement true by adding two words.
"cheap imitation swiss army knives suck"

Buy a swiss army alox soldier, carry it for a few days then tell me it sucks

I'm not saying that a SAK is junk, just that they don't work for me as a primary edc, for reason previously stated. As I also stated, I think they make a handy backup knife to keep in a car, backpack, etc., but I find my mini-grip, or something along the lines of a Buck 110 to be more generally useful.

But then, if I want to screw a screw, I get a screwdriver.

I'm a cigar smoker, and I violate all the conventions of proper ciger ettiquate by slicing off the end with my pocket knife and lighting it with a zippo.

Another Swiss Army Knife fan here. I don't current have a SAK but I have a multitool, my Leatherman Wave. And even though it's my least fun knife to own, it has show to be the most useful.

I know the SAKs don't hold an edge well, but I can get them pretty damn sharp and they're easy as hell to get them sharp.
