Swords

Yep!
I had to turn away, as the sparks flew! But... it was a test. An INSANE test. :)
 
Talked to Garth a lot about these swords the AK and Butanika. I wanted something in between, basically a 6 inch longer katana style make.
Ain't gonna happen from what I gathered unless I am willing to spend a insane amount of money. I believe with the membership expansion and credit card companies handing them out like candy, Jerry should give it a think if they ever get through with all the Infimandus'. A lot of people have never had the chance to purchase, I being one of them. I got a discover card with a 10,000 credit line and would love to use it on a katana. I have a SWAMPRAT Waki but its too short.

You mean a short Butaniku with a 24" blade?

Or are you talking a Butaniku with 37.5" blade?
That's quite a bit longer than a traditional Katana.
 
Evltcat....what's the handle material and color on your ruki? It like all the blades you've shown looks mighty good!
 
That short butaniku is fantastic... How's the balance in hand? I own a rucki and find it to be very well balanced as a one handed weapon, but would love to have a two handed blade

The balance is just forward of the guard so it tracks very nicely with the arched blade. I haven't sliced anything but air yet, although there may be some pumpkin mayhem in the near future... :D
 
Eviltcat...I can't stand it! Those are some nice hardwood floors! They look pretty old and in damn good condition....sorry way off topic...lol

Pumpkin mayhem...I like the sound of that... My rucki has tasted an assortment of fruit.. Always fun

Now that is a heck of a compliment. The floor is Junkers solid plank Dark Nordic Ash, it's actually from 2003. We chose the grade 2 that had the knots and lines in it because we though it had more character.

And back to swords...
My wife is going to be getting rid of some of her old foam pumpkins this year, and I don't intend to let them go to waste! :D
Throw in a couple real ones and it outta look like a horror movie set!
