symphonyincminor phone question resolved

I have a lot of people on my ignore list. I don't think of myself as intolerant or unforgiving; I just prefer to not deal at all rather than deal with foolishness if those are my only two choices. The ignore list is an easy way for me to remember who's who.

Symphonyincminor has never caught my eye as someone who is immature nevermind someone who plays games. Not being a knucklehead in a public forum is one thing, but then he goes and takes it a giant step further by doing the exemplary thing out in the open, in stark contrast to the OP who does not appear to have the courage to publicly apologize or openly attempt to correct his mistake.

Symphonyincminor gets a  in my book, WAY up. The OP gets a :thumbdn: and a place on my ignore list.

This just reminds me of how 12 year old entitled brats get when things don't wind up how they wanted......IMMEDIATELY!! Kick and scream, stamp their feet and bitch to the world.......instead of taking a breath and saying MY BAD. It really isn't that hard to admit you jumped the gun and would like to make it right. OP would then be off some ignore lists and his rep would be fine.......but instead, he stamps his feet, takes his ball and goes home. Even after he saw the way symphony handled his end.
Sad.

This reminds me of a thread that was started about me a few years back, with a couple exceptions. I overlooked something on a knife that I shipped out, and was AFK for about 3 hours after the person recieved it, so he started a thread in here taking me to task. He got his balls busted for not giving me time to respond, and when I got in I immediately told him to return it for a full refund plus shipping. One major difference? My buyer backed up and apologized for jumping the gun, and was very nice while we resolving the issue. The other difference? My buyer actually WAS 13 years old, but acted better than the OP of this thread.

Thanks Spark,

In today's world none of us can be ungrateful. The OP reacted too quickly, as it was. The result, a well seasoned member of the BF community caught heat as a positive member here of the BF community.

The OP, should have stepped backed and righted the wrong on the Seller who did everything right.... and hinted it was the right thing to do.... Instead, insisted he was not happy, poor, poor me..

Thank You, I am happy as it all turned out:)

Thanks much, Spark.

Haven't heard from the OP all day. I assume the phone is heading back my way, but never received a head's up or tracking. No response in emails. PayPal dispute still open.

Might this simply have been a carrier compatibility issue? "Unlocked" GSM phones won't work on Sprint or Verizon (generally speaking, and this includes the Galaxy S4). Sometimes a Verizon branded phone will work on AT&T or T-Mobile just fine, some time with issues, some time not all. Depends on the phone. An international unlocked GSM phone should work on T-Mobile and AT&T, but might not support LTE. There's also multiple international models of the S4.

Thanks much, Spark.

Be sure you issue the refund through paypal in the dispute resolution page, so the OP can't say he didn't get it.

Thank you, Spark!

This particular PayPal account has no bank account tied to it, and with a $0 balance, it won't let you send an offer to close the dispute. I sent the refund as a Family and Friends (Gift) transaction, in good faith.

I'm curious if the OP requested the feedback reversal or if someone else asked Kevin to do it??

I'm glad the outrageous negative FB has been cancelled and a rap over the head issued.

But, it would be good if the title of this thread could be modified as it still conveys the impression of shoddy behaviour/malpractice which is clearly not the case, once you've read the whole thread.....
