Carrying this one today.

ya know, everyone talks about how cool the pen blade is on a texas jack. but yours, like mine, and every other TJ i've ever seen on here has a patina on the clip and none on the pen :D
i guess folks just arent using the pen for food so it just never gets patina'd ;)

Lots of great bone being carried today

The 55 again this tuesday

man i gotta ask, that liner lock thingy sticks out pretty good
it doesnt bother you, its not uncomfortable in the hand?
i've seen this style of liner lock before and i know it goes back a good ways, but it just seems like it would hurt if you ever had to get a good strong grip to bear down on something..,

all that said, she is sorta purty looking, all sleek and sexy-like :D

Purty indeed :)

I wear a xl glove and I can honestly say I never notice it in use, ever. GEC did a heck of job placing it perfectly. When you use it to close the knife the blade will not cut your finger when you put your thumb on it and press the back of the blade against your leg to close it. I would have swapped this puppy out for the slippie version a long time ago if it didnt work seemless for me. All hands and tastes are different, your experience may vary :D

hmm, maybe one of these days i'll try a model with this style of liner lock and give it a go
i know its scared me off some old timers i otherwise i really wanted to pick up
maybe i need to open my mind (after may 1st of course :D)

Meako, I don't know the maker. My mother picked it up for me when she visited Florence this fall. Thanks, I like it too. It seems garish at first glance, but hey... so do I. ;)
