T-K-C Custom Becker Handles

Am I alone on this one by saying if it aint broke dont fix it? The ESEE scales are different IMO because there was a demand for it, a lot of people agreed that their scales are too flat. The Becker scales are already contoured and well... perfect. This is purely a color thing, Ill pass... for now... probably...

You say that as though mere function is what drives us Beckerheads. :p:D

I'm glad TKC put some texturing on the G-10. The biggest complaint everyone has about the grivory is that it's too smooth. I've stippled nearly all of my chopping Beckers' grivory scales or replaced them with micarta or wood, but it's nice that I can now have good, textured, water/blood/oil-proof scales that look badass on top of it all.

Nice lookin' scales for sure, but at $65, they're a little steep. It's not like they're hand cut and hand sanded... just my humble opinion.

ETA: I did not consider this when I made my statement, and this is a valid point!
...CNC operators are skilled tradesmen and get paid well for their work and then there is the cost of the actual running of the machine...

id love it if there was a green/black without the tan looking color. but either way nice looking scales.

Ok, I have been looking these things over since this thread was posted and I'm sold! I think I'll give it a shot. I'm a sucker for the orange tiger stripe as well :D

TKC, you rock.
I love the way G-10 feels, I always thought it looked soo slick, but its very grippy.
I am really looking forward to maybe matching scales for a big Becker, a Tweener and the 24 Hmmmmmm Tasty.
The three color camo is fantastic, I think I would love a coyote tan and black set too or Coyote and Od ..hmmmmm damn now my brains boiling ..lol

Very cool! I like. I agree with those saying that the price is a bit steep, but if you can do it, then not a problem. And it looks like you'll get what you're paying for. At this time, though, I don't need any as I bought the Becker micarta scales for my BK2 and made a set of black micarta for my BK7. If tweener scales should become available.....

One of the reasons I bought a becker, besides that it's a great knife at a great price, is the ability and desire the modify the knife myself. The scales they have for sale at TKC look great, but I prefer to see pictures of the knives and scales that have been modified and made by their owners!

I'm still playing with patina's and figuring out which wood I want to use for my scales, but I hope to post some pictures soon!

Thank you,Thank you,Thank you. I have been waiting for these to come out ever since I made the original G10 thread. While the price may seem high to some, for those without the tools or skills to make there own it is plenty fair. Again Thank you T-K-C.

I like those ranger green ones, but I won't spend the money on a set I'll have to heavily modify to get the way I want.

My bk24 just arrived yesterday and now I'm waiting, somewhat impatiently for t-k-c to release these for the little guys :)

I don't mind forking out the bucks for some quality scales, I just can't make up my mind on what color I want! With my brown Skystorm sheath I'm thinking the green or camo, or wait for the OD green and black tiger stripe to come out.

they are good lookin'....hella spendy, but good lookin'....
and t-k-c is correct-cnc machinists do not come cheap....i know..... i are one.
just as i like to get paid for my hard work / skillset....
i will pay one of my bretheren for theirs. :)

Cool stuff. These must be new offerings from them. Love those ranger green and orange models. A little pricey though I agree. Same price as the blades

Started researching DIY Becker scales after seeing those prices. :disgust:

These scales are very comfortable. I installed them on my customized BK-7 and Esee 4 & 6. The fit is not perfect so you will have to slightly tweak a bit. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but you will save fabrication time.
