Pile of French knives
Yes, it is French, but I don't have any yet. The Fontenille Pataud knife is the one I bought recently, with the boxwood handle. It is called Le Thiers Nature. The Thiers pattern is made by several cutlers in Thiers, France, since 1994. FP has several models of it. The other one I have is by Chambriard, a compact knife, and it does not lock, like the FP knife. You're building quite the collection of French Regional knives Vince.
It would be a stretch of course to post the picture of your Corsican beauty along with those pictured but after all isn't Corsica French?
Commendable showing Vince.![]()

Well, start with the Opinel ($15-17). The Douk-Douk is just a little more. I am going slow, saving up for ones I want.Commendable showing Vince.
But to be honest... that pic scares me a little.I don't have any of them and now I want 'em all!!!

Vince, both of your suggestions are in one of my shopping carts but I still think it may be awhile. I'm very satisfied with what I already have so naturally I'm slowing down a bit. If things go well with the 74s that may be it for me this year. But we'll see, ya never know.Well, start with the Opinel ($15-17). The Douk-Douk is just a little more. Is the one in the middle with the bar shield a recover? It looks awesome!Pile "O" 35s
