I had it shut off a while ago via the bank, as I needed to use the money I was transfering to paypal for a different transaction (money order). I just havent gotten around to taking the hold off.:o

Ripper: Thanks for the tip about the CC, I will give that a try. I hadn't gone past the part where they said they only take paypal.

By the way, Rat, I hope thats not your wife or daughter in your avatar, cuz I'm not thinking pure thoughts when I see it. Bad Andy.

Considering his participation in the Cove, I'm sure that's not an issue...

Andy, please let us know how you like the L1P.

I was hoping it would be here today when I got home. No dice. Oh well. Waiting makes .... Oh damnit I can't figure out how it helps.

thanks for the heads up on the great price. I just ordered the L1P and its my first flashlight purchase ever. Ive heard great things about it. Hope i like it!

Harumi Nemoto, you can find lots of pics on google.;)

coincidentally I have since changed my avatar, as I get tired of using the same one for too long. :D

BTW, when did you order your light?

I ordered mine on monday. Got it yesterday. Sweet too.

Andy,

My funds have been pretty tight for the last couple of months. I'm hoping to order a Fenix w/in the next two weeks. (Supposed to finally be getting in some back pay I was shorted.)

I purchased a pack from Sam's with 2500 mAH rechargeable AAs, 850 mAH AAAs, and a slider charger. I plan on using those, which should give you 2 hours or more of run time before you hit 50% light output.

John

Thanks bro. Hope you get yours. Its a shame you're having any trouble at all.

Today I bought the Mini Maglite LED Upgrade Combo Kit from Nit-Ize. This kit comes with the bulb conversion and a tail cap switch. The installation wasn't hard to do, but after turning it on and off two times the switch failed. I called the company and they were very responsive, and are sending me a replacement switch. No hassle at all. It isn't nearly as bright as the Fenix L1P, so I asked the girl if the C, and D, cell kits coming out in April were going to be brighter. She told me they weren't trying to out shine common LED flashlights, but rather save battery power, and remain affordable to the common user. The flashlight will work with the standard butcap in much the same manner it did before the conversion. In my EE opinion its a cheezy switch, and I think eventually I'll just stick to the twist on/off method and use the original buttcap.

Man thats a better switch. I hope thats the replacement switch they sent. Otherwise I'll probably do the twist on twist off thing. This light isn't bright enought to warrant spending more $ on it. They aren't planning a bright led for the C and D cell Maglites either. Maybe a good thing to design.
