hi , you all.

few days ago i got a pair of pants and a belt of 511 , both well made and suited me well.

but i am not a tactical guy , so i wanna know your opinion on tactical garments.

thanks.

I love the Stryke pants and particularly the shorts from 5.11. I have about 6 pair of the Stryke shorts. Material seems to resist wear extremely well and has a slight elastic character to it that makes it very comfortable. Main complaint people have with the shorts is that they don't have the elastic waist band, but if you order the size you wear now and not what you wore in your 20s they will fit great.

Disclaimer: I'm not a tactical guy either......more of a mall ninja/samurai optometrist, but I really like 5.11 pants.

TAD gear look them up I did a review of the amphibious cargo pants that they sell still look brand new but they have other pants that may suit you better

TAD and Tyr tactical are nice. Kitanica as well if you want to spend the $$$

Not a fan of 5.11. I've had nothing but bad luck with them. Lengths weren't the same even though they said they were on the tag, same for the waist size. Bag I had, the strap came off within weeks. Not impressed at all with their stuff

I have 5.11 pants and a belt, they seem functional, but aren't an everyday style. There is a time and place for such garments. Whenever I see a set of khaki pants with pockets everywhere I look for the outline of a gun. Not that they would mean harm, it's just me profiling, look hard enough it's there.

5.11 is a great company, they sponsor shooting sports and 3 gun matches around me. They make great sunglasses too, fun. I had an ex during our breakup that literally stomped on my 5.11 glasses and they were fine.... She was only like 110lb but she was stomping....

Yeah TAD will cost you $100+ dollars but if you wear tactical pants everyday or need a tactical pant then it's money well spent. You can also check out Prana and they have some not so much tactical pants but climbing pants but comfortable and durable but even as I write this I got Tad pants on I've put them through hell too . A tip when y'all see that bit of thread that's hanging loose do not cut or burn it ! It's so the pants can stretch and move without busting the stitch!

I used to buy shirts from a company called Warwear. Think early more heavy duty underarmour. Sadly I don't think they are around anymore. Some of the best shirts I have ever purchased. Been probably 8 years of constant wear and they show no sign of ever being worn. Wish I could find them again.

"8 years of constant wear" that statement disturbs me a little ;)

:D:D

I have a few of them. LOL I didn't say it was underwear. :p With those I go front I go back then flip them inside out and go front and back again. :barf:

I am not a tactical guy. I do spend a many days in the field Hunting, Hiking and fishing. For these kinds of activities I have found Crye Precision G3 field pant to be the best. The all weather G3 is great for winter. You can order them in plain colors so they do not look to tactical. Plus there not tactical they are field pants.

Also Railriders Versa tac if you want a super light pant for extreme hot weather.
