Tacticalsteel Screwed Me

Now it is MY turn. Firstly I would like to appologize to Scott that his money was taken back by PayPal. There was a reason for this. When Scott phoned me and asked if I still wanted the knife, I said yes and paid him within ONE minute from our conversation. I left immediately for a conference. Over the weekend somebody tried to get thousands out of my bank account (FRAUD) and PayPal and my bank STOPPED ALL TRANSACTIONS untill I would PERSONALLY authorize them.

I was away from my desk for the last couple of days and did not get to see any emails concerning this problem. This morning I opened my mail and got BOMBARDED with hate mail etc. Scott was NEVER and will NEVER be done in by me. I have tried to get hold of him all morning, sending email after email. I want to transfer the funds DIRECTLY to him but I cannot do this if he does not call me.

Also for you lot of couch cowboys, MAKE SURE OF THE FACTS BEFORE YOU ATTACK LIKE A PACK OF HUNGRY WOLVES. Get a life! If Scott phoned me immediately I would have sorted out this problem then and there. No need to run to the"people" on the forums to try and get "help". Do things in an ADULT way!
 
I don't have a dog in this hunt, but wouldn't it seem prudent to advise everyone you are having financial transactions with that there is a problem, mmediately? If you had advised earlier, the flaming would not be on . Glad to hear this will be worked out, and I hope they get the bastid who accessed your accounts, tacsteel. You ought to make sure the bg hasn't opened other accounts using your info, too.
 
I prefer to err on the side of optimism when dealing with people. Even if I get burned, I'd rather be the guy that sees good in people. That said, I don't get burned twice.

Um, sorry, but, from your own words, I can't see blaming Scott for this one. You knew there were issues. He had no way of knowing. It was you who walked away and let the financial chips fall where they may, not Scott.

So Scott executes a transaction in good faith and then, near as he can tell, is accused of fraud, he's out a knife and the money, and you're incommunicado. Is this an accurate representation of what transpired? If so: Scott can hardly be blamed for becoming a mite twitchy.
 
Miscommunications happen all the time and how people respond to fix their issues is what is important.

It looks like they are going to work this out so how about we collectively let do that without fanning the flames?

Welcome to Bladeforums tacticalsteel. If anyone sent you inflammatory emails, I'm sure their intentions were only to help maintain the integrity of the sales/trades process on the forum. Knife folks, especially here, look out for each other. Please don't take it personally. I agree with Slatts that from here, it's on the two of you to resolve this. I finally contacted TacticalSteel by phone and it appears that there was an issue with the bank. He informed me that his bank noticed some unauthorized transactions on his end, so they pulled all the funds back into his account until the matter was straightend out. He also told me that someone has been using his identity to make purchases in large sums. TacticalSteel has refunded the money that PayPal has claimed against me. s it appears that the matter is resolved. I appreciate everyones help on this and I knew if I brought it up here our team would come through.

tacticalsteel responded to me in his last email with the same info that he posted above. I think this should be a non-issue now, and I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Henk if he had a knife I wanted for sale. We can't all be beside our computers and checking email 24/7. Sounds like Henk fixed this situation as soon as he found out about it.
 
Hey TacticalSteel the only reason the guys from here sent you emails is because we look out for each other. I appreciate your help in dealing with the matter and hope you get everything in order. I tried getting a hold of you, but there wasn't an answer. I'm sorry for the trouble, but we both had a situation at hand and being a military man the amount really messed me up good during the holidays. The best to you and yours.
