we need more pics here, this is a 'mantis' brand... giving mtech a run for their money ; )
how horrible is this combination thumb rest and guard???...

It doesn't look too different from the thumb ramp on many of Spyderco's knives, like the PM2, delica, and others. The ergos don't work for me but for sure a lot of people like their thumb ramps.

I believe Mantis Knives went out of business long time ago. If you did hold one in your hand, you'll know that it does nothing to do with Spyderco's design and quality. Also there is only one Spydie with such thumb ramp as far as I know.It doesn't look too different from the thumb ramp on many of Spyderco's knives, like the PM2, delica, and others. When a gun isn’t enough... you may need a gunknife with its bullet...knife

How about a longer muzzle for better reach too?

It's almost as if a designer had seen a knife with a flipper, but couldn't figure out how the flipper tab went from raised with knife closed, so instead of a guard it's ended up a massive thumb ramp (which could possibly work in a 'wave' fashion to open the blade?)we need more pics here, this is a 'mantis' brand... giving mtech a run for their money ; )

It seems I'm late to this tactical masterpiece as well. I saw "variable jimping" and thought it was JUST a joke. Then I looked at the pic and almost pooped myself in front of my kids. I hadn't realized it was actually a feature pointed out in the marketing. I was not prepared, ha ha!I realize I'm a bit late to the party here, but I'd like to add this feature to my knives. It's like a totem pole thumb or lapel dagger. Why it is like that I have no idea. Why anyone would want such a thing I understand even less.View attachment 1533537 Now here is the best tacticool knife on the market. The handle is designed for 1 finger grip comfort. And that long deadly piece of 440 steel can slice a railroad tie in half. Even the handle design can kill enemies from a distance with but a glance. I present the knife Darth Vader himself wishes he could control the power of.
This knife could take out Superman with it's deadly edge.
Here is the other video explaining the holes special features 8m 50sec.... the more I watch it the more I want to raven peck my eyes out.
I can't believe I missed the second video. This is amazing. So the section that is not sharpened is specifically for a backhand throat cutting punch through strike to prevent, during that frequently used maneuver, the blade getting stuck in the victim's throat. This knife just gets more impressively mall-ninja-ey every time I revisit it.

"People ask - 'can we have it serrated?' The answer is "no" as it is connected to Masada, they had no serrations back then"The Crack is strong in this one he is back at it again. I never knew Israel was located in China.
