Tacticlol Knives

There is a interesting story behind the design of these knives. As noted by TwitchyBlade. The ONLY purpose for this knife is as a self defense weapon, the knife comes with a card that indicates that it should not be used as a utility knife.

The above quote was referring to the Spyderco Civilian. I'd just like to point out that the Civilian is used to harvest mushrooms, and does quite a good job of that.

or do they?

looks like her sword has a leatherman in it

That's looks like a character from a Japanese style Role Playing Game (Which arn't really role playing games, but lets not digress)

I'm not sure those count. There are several decades of traditions behind producing increasingly most absurd character designs, weapons and costumes.

Final Fantasy VIII had a thing called a gunblade, which looks like a revolver with a sword blade instead of a barrel. That's one of tamer ones.

There have also been someone with a wrist mounted crossbow that can be used to fire a dog. And at least one character who used a volleyball as their weapon of choice.

Somebody MUST have posted this one already. So ridiculous. The P001. Otherwise known as "The knife shaped like a gun"

...It's more or less a folding Ka-Bar TDI. What's so hilarious about that?

"Most absurd" is right. The last game's protagonist is a pink-haired Asian chick who teaches elementary school while wearing basically a bikini.

The gunblade mentioned above, and the emo freak who used it:

The girl who fires the dog from her weird crossbow thing:

Notwithstanding the weird man-boy with the monkey tail, FFIX was definitely my favorite of all those games.

Hey Squal was the S$%^!!!

that gun shaped knife makes me die a little inside. There is just no conceivable way for that to be effective. it now comes in multiple sizes and the impact tool based on it now comes in different colors for different levels of training. Seriously i might be physically ill. http://www.combtact.com/site.php?page=products

I've seen a lot of knives for sale here and other places, for high prices, that to me looks really messed up. super tactical military self defense stuff.

I'll try to find some photos.

^ LOL "Suppose you have to stab a tire and your hands are slippery." Damn, all this time I've had to dry my hands off before stabbing tires. What a time saver!

Japan always amazes me with their wacky ideas. The gunblade however is not a new invention.

The same idea, older design. Could be considered wild west tacticlol

Miltner knives... The only thing I like is that guys total inability to handle a KA BAR in the video :D

This design looks remotely useful, if only remotely. I'm actually kind of attracted to it. What I'd be worried about is the vibrations of the gunshots doing something to the blade.

The thing about the gunblade is that you're either struggling to keep it steady with one hand...or you're cutting your own arm while holding it up with two!

Gun-blade is actually a proven battlefield weapon
