TAD Production Dauntless

The Dauntless is a TAD design, and various makers have their versions of it. This last run I believe is by Brad Southard. Some are listed at $3K+ on some sites. Brian Fellhoelter also has his version of it, and its these two versions that I would trade a kidney for, lol.

Well damn. I'm saving my kidneys for a blue blooded Fellhoelter or Southard, good to know :)

How does everyone know when they will be getting knives in? Is it announced somewhere with instructions on how to order?

There is a TAD forum on the USN, where I have seen mention of runs going up for sale (as well as stuff like TAD Striders, etc.) before they go up. I'm not sure if there is another means of finding out.

well, thats a given, but you know what i mean. its not like they have a cnc machine and a grinder at the dogpatch store or anything. im just curious who actually makes them.

I'd dig it if the knife had a 4.5" blade and a D/A with a hidden release.

There are out but sold out in like 3 minutes

The first run sold out in <30 seconds.

I had 2 of them, one Ti and one G10. I couldn't fall in love with the production dauntless. Something about it didnt feel right to me.

Like many times before my opinion changed on this knife!
The choil seems way too big for the knife and i don't see me buying one.
I love TAD collabs though, specially the ones with Brad Southard but they cost more than i'm willing to pay for any knife so no TADs for me i'm afraid.

The prodo dauntless is a great knife IMO. Right up there with CRK and Hinderer in terms of quality, fit and finish. These knives have a following, they sell out in minutes and they are rarely seen for sale. That says a lot about the quality of this knife. It's a bargain at retail price.

Curious why the "who" matters so much?
TAD isn't sharing apparently, so I won't either, but rest assured, it's here, in the USA, and it's not a custom knifemaker.

I know Brian has repeatedly denied it, but I must say the pocket clip does look a lot like the FTR, FRH, and FLG pocket clips.
The part of the Dauntless that is different than the Fellhoelter models I just mentioned is the lack of a hole in the lock bar for the detent ball.
Hmmm, the mystery continues.
